    I bought the amusement park DLC and I feel it was money well spent. It draws more tourists to your city and can easily earn 120k a day and more. It is a little bothersome that when fully upgraded it takes up a third of the map but I still like it. I think it is a better investment for $10 than the set was for $9 as considerably more work went into the amusement park DLC than that of the 2 buildings in the airships DLC.
  3. Looking for a few players to join my shiny new region on the Antarctic server. The region is named Tourist Forest and as the name suggests, is meant to be a region of tourist cities. The only rules are: 1. Please don't invite additional people 2. Don't claim more than 1-3 cities at once 3. Specialize your city in tourism and/or gambling
  4. 3 replies and I'm still alone in the region. Why won't anyone play with me
  5. I am working on my 3rd international airport in a new region. I had a city with 3smelting factories and 3k people. The population dropped to 2500 and one of the factories closed due to lack of workers. I then more than doubled my city to 6k and the next thing I know all 3 factories are shut down. I waited 2 months and they're still closed. How can I get more workers to go to the smelting factory.

    They will not require you to pay for patches... Ever. To keep everything fair for the leaderboards patches are free and mandatory. Not to mention the fact that patches are fixing things that should have been dealt with prior to the game's release and would therefore not make sense to charge for them. What a ridiculous thing to say

  9. IDK why everyone is freaking out over this patch. I have had no new problems since its release, even in cities with 600K+ populations.
  10. I am trying to build an international airport in my new region. I started working on it from Lancaster Point but I ran out of ore. I started a new city in Yorkshire Cliffs to continue working on it but it doesn't register the airport as having been started. I waited a while assuming it would sync by itself after a little while but no such luck. I tried exiting to the main menu and reloading the city and nothing. I tried quiting and restarting the game and still nothing. Any suggestions?

  12. Every bond I've taken out today has cost more than the last one. The first one cost 55,760 (50k bond) the second one cost 60,479, and the third cost 67,280. WTF is going on here? Did they change bond costs or something?

  14. I had one in a brand new region in a city with a university and highest tech level and it melted down in less than a year. I trashed the region and started over. Now I coal plants and later when the city is well established I use concentrated solar arrays pretty much exclusively. NEVER use nuclear.

  16. I'm trying to get my university fully upgraded but I can't seem to get past level 4. I've got 3 dorms and ~3,200 local students per day but no regional students. Any suggestions?

    No real traffic problems as long as you use avenues, especially to connect the circles. Of course that could be partially due to the fact that they tend to top out around 300-350k.

  20. I opened SimCity this morning hoping to see a link to get the amusement park dlc. I did a Google search and still can't find it. Is it just too early? Does anyone know what time it will be released?

    I am definitely willing to spend $10 dollars on this dlc. Anything for more tourists. Plus after over 1500 hours playing this game it is starting to get a little dull and it'll be nice to have a shiny new building to use. I just wonder if it will count towards your limit of 3 landmarks, I certainly hope not.

  25. I went to play SimCity this morning only to find that Origin was in offline mode. I clicked 'Go Online' and nothing. I checked my internet connection and it was fine so I restarted my computer. I opened Origin and same thing, in offline mode, go online does nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
