  1. Please, if anyone from Maxis is reading this, consider bringing out the next SimCity on consoles like the 360 as well as PC. After all of the headaches I had with SC4 running on my PC, I'd much prefer a console version over a PC. I think the time is right for these type of strategy games to make a dent in the console market.
  2. Halcyon Sound Revisited

Of the few regions I've seen of yours, this one is probably the best yet. Looks like you have spent a lot of time with creating and detailing the major attractions such as the rail station, the marina, the downtown waterfront prominade, and the industrial harbour. Those are the kinds of things that make journals stick out to me. Some people really need to take some inspiration from these kind of ideas, as there are far too many journals today that have nothing but generic crud in them. It just takes a little time and some creative thinking and great things can happen as this region proves.

Check these out ok https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=49715&forumID=36&catID=8&search=1&searchstring = https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=49905&forumID=36&catID=8&search=1&searchstring = https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=32996&forumID=36&catID=8&search=1&searchstring = Now let me know if this is'nt worth hypeing about I'm still waiting to see whats so great about your journal. So far these 3 journals you were dogging earlier are still better then the overhyped generic shots you have shown so far. Those people put a lot of time and effort into their journals, and for you to come in here and post the links of them down just so you can show off how much more glorious your journal supposedly is compared to them.... man, that is just low and insulting. And btw, I wouldn't normally make such rude comments towards anyone on here, but since you have proven yourself to be a jerk, I have no reservations in speaking my opinion on all of this.
  4. New York 2

So is this city well under development already or have you just begun on it? You certainly have a lot of hype to live up to. If it doesn't deliver the goods you will be hung and beaten senselessly.
  5. mipro Barry Sanders Project

What was that about Gary Payton being a great player?
  6. San Diego v1.0

Holy smokes, I cant believe I've never noticed this journal until now. Looks great!
  7. Turry Metro Region to Scale

Holy smokes, that is amazing. It looks as close to a real life satelite(spelling?) aerial as I've ever seen in this game. I dont know how you had the patience or time that it obviously took to fill out the entire region, but I gotta give you props for what you've accomplished. Great job!
  8. mipro Barry Sanders Project

I've wanted to do a re-creation of Detroit on SC4 here for the city journals forum, but of course it's impossible without some of the key structures. I hope some BAT builders here will take on some of these projects so it will be possible to make a realistic Detroit region in the game. Comerica Tower is looking great so far. I hope to see a finished product in the near future. Keep up the good work! BTW guys, I dont know if you've talked about this yet here(havn't read everything posted), but has anyone seen the pics yet of what is to become of Detroit's eastern riverfront from Downtown towards Belle Isle? It looks amazing! And best of all the 90 million dollar funding for the project is already secure, which means it is 100% going to happen. It's supposed to feature the first Michigan urban state park as well. That is going to be the bomb.
  9. Chicago

Holy smokes, I cant believe I didn't catch this one until now. This is quite easily the most interesting journal I have ever seen on here. Keep it up!
  10. Joergs Water Mod

You know guys, joerg here didn't have to even make the mods here in the first place, but he did it to make some of you guys happy. Now to keep on whining about these stupid little pictures or whatever that aren't included is just freakin pathetic. Just be thankful he did what he did for ya.
  11. Fiji Island

More close-ups please. Looks very nice!
  12. San Francisco, CA

Keep the pics coming! We could use a few more closeups...
  13. You might be right about the people filling up the industry from elsewhere, as I too noticed a sharp abandonment early on and than in a matter of months it quickly filled up again. I'll test it out a bit more and see what happens. But hey, I'm glad you created this modd, as I feel it makes the game more realistic. I hope you realise how much some of us appreciate your guys' work.
  14. I'm having a bit of a problem with this mod. It did increase my jobs available by 4 times the amount, but for some reason it didn't force any of the buildings to abandon. In one city, I even have more industry jobs than I even have people now. I had 8,000 people and a industry workforce that shot up from about 3,000 to about 10,000 after installing the mod. I ran the game for about a year, and still the industry workforce didn't drop back down. Do you know whats going on with this? btw, there are also no cities connected to this city, so its not taking a workforce from a neighbor.
