    Cool looking house, morbid story.
  3. Does anyone know if Sim City 4/Rush Hour will work with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit version?
  4. Simcity 4 and Vista

I managed to check by seeing the file size of the plug ins folder. Windows said it was 1.8 gig. I suspect, that Windows loads all of the at once, and like you mentioned, there was an overload. But this is odd, because I did not encounter this on my older machine. Probably how things are with Vista, don't know.

Thanks, I tried playing the game with the soft rendering on, but still recieved the crashes. I am beginning to suspect its a plug-in, but not sure.
  6. I recently purchased a laptop to replace one that got destroyed in car accident (long story there). The new maching is an HP Pavillion dual core Core 2 1.667 GHz, it has over 2 gig of RAM and an NVIDIA 8400 GS with 256 megs dedicated and 128 shared. The machine runs Vista Home Premium. Now on my XP machine, good ol' SC ran somewhat good, had it not been for the RAM limitations of 1 gig, I'm sure it would have ran better. Installing SC 4 Rush Hour Deluxe was a snap. I even managed to update the darn thing. But when you play the game, it works fine until either 10 or 30 minutes goes by, it always varies. Next thing you know, it crashes to the Vista desktop, which seems fine. Going through some forums, I read one must set the compatibility mode to XP SP2, which I did, but still the same problems. Then I had I learned to set the adminstrative levels to elevated or soemthing like that, which I did. Once again, the same problem still perstisted. The machine seems to have its video drivers updated, I was just today given notification of an update, and will try that and see what happens. But if Simcity 4 RH still crashes, I don't know what I will do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, JB
