I am glad you have enjoyed it. I have really tried but have never gotten more than an hour of playtime without interruption and I have never been able to log back into the same region once I leave it. I do think I could enjoy the game if I was allowed to play it. But I can't play it. I waited all week. Tonight, I tried every server I played this week and could log into none of them even though 2 show they are available. I am not starting over again. I just talked Amazon and got my refund processed. Maybe when they figure it out I will try again, but I am waiting to see how things settle over the next month or so first.

is that switching servers loses what you have already done. I see a few open servers now so do I switch and start over? What happens if the server I switch to is busy tomorrow? Do I just keep starting over every time I play?

My mom called me today and she heard on the news about some game that is not letting peopleand she thought it was a game I had talked abuot. not sure what news outlet it was but Iimagine it was cable news.

Very true. But I did have one city that was starting to look nice. Of course, I don't think it saved because it gave me some error as I exited it yesterday. I did get logged on briefly a few minutes tonight but my whole region was gone, just cities named but totally empty. I exited out and haven't gotten back in. I am hoping that was an error. The main reason I don't want to start over is is that it took FOREVER for my cities to "see" each other for deals to be set up.

when I was able to play yesterday,that was my experience. When I did finally get electricty and sewage to transfer, it stopped working after about 30mins. I did finally get logged on a few mins ago but mycities are completely gone, justthe names saved but nothing in them.

I dont understand why they even keep posting things on facebook. All it does is show up people's wall and remind them that they can't play.

My feeling is it is unusable since I still can't log into it.

All I can say is almost 72 hours, I still can't really play. So who knows if it is fun. Trying to log in or the game crashing is not fun.

I suppose I understand that, but destroying everything in the city and leaving it there bankrupt doesn't do anything to "help" the other cities either. That's what happens when you play with other people. If you could delete the city, at least others in the region could see right away that something was wrong.

not busy,just disconnected. Been going on all day today.yesterday, none of the cities in my region would sync together so I could not trade anything. And the game crashed every 15 mins or so. there have been several other buggy things too. I had about a 45 min stretch this morning aftr my cities synced up. It was goinggood and i liked what I saw then. but then it crashed and now it won'tplay. Dont even know if my city saved.

it isn't that simple if you have already bought the game and literally CANNOT play it. I have not had more than 3 hours total and probably the most at once without crashing was 45 mins. I can't play at all right now.

I went online for support and they gave me a phone number to call....expected wait time is 675 minutes. no, that is not a typo...over 11 hours

i haven't been able to play the game for long enough to give a fair assessment. it did seem fun but so much of it bugged out and didn't work and now i cant even log into it. i did give it a 1 star review. what do they expect when a hard core fan is left sitting for hours and can't play? i had do something with my time so why not write a review?

True, but even then we still won't be able to make an actual city...just tiny unrealistic villages. It seems like CitiesXL was listening to their audience, whereas Maxis was determined to do what they wanted to do, regardless of the opinions of their audience. they feel like neighborhoods to me or city sections. if I could fill the in between areas, I would be okay with it. In fact, the small size could act as a way to manage distinct areas then. but, for now, it is sim neighborhood to me.

You can abandon a whole region from your main page. it seems to take the server awhile to realize you did it, but it will eventually disappear.

Agree 100%! Huge simcity fan since day one back in high school,when almost no one played computer games. Been anxiously waiting for a year and have had nothing but problems from being unable to download on release to having to problems with my product key to the game freezing to crashes every 3 minutes to the game not recognizing the other cities in my region to starting a trade deal with one city and the other city not recognizing it to transportation gridlock in a city with 2000 people...and now the server crashes and i got locked out of the city i had been working on for over an hour and who knows if it is saved or not since i can't save my own game. ugh, why is playing a game so much work? I don't think I am wrong that I feel like I should be able to start my game and play it immediately without having to wait for them to fix something on a brand new game. i wouldn't accept that from anything else I bought.

Thats exactly what mine says. It is getting worse. I am down to maybe 3 mins before it crashes. It was about 20 mins. IT didn't do this yesterday. Yesterday though, I could not trade between cities because it did not recognize there were other cities in the region. Total waste of time. waiting on customer service now.

I canceled mine thru the live chat. Then ordered it thru AMAZON and had it immediately. the download was quick but the update is taking a fewmins

I am doing the same thing. He is taking his sweet timecanceling my order though. Funny thing is,on origin's main page, you can buy the game and download it now, no pre order needed

origin chat toldme they dont have the codes for it yet and it woul be 3 or 4 hours.

I only pre ordered so I could dl it at night and play a fewhours. I have a busy week of work ad wont be able toplay again til friday. No reason to pre order if I cant dl it.

I am giving about 30more mins and then calling it a night. If i cant dl then, I will cancel the pre order and just buy it at the store.
