@Dawg2012 - thanks!! The refinery buildings in the centre of the first pic are from Somy (heres the link http://members3.jcom.../somy000/p6.htm ). He also has some really cool other port stuff, like coal docks, container cranes etc! Although its in Japanese, you can navigate the site ok - look at the bottom of the page for the page numbers!! There is also a lot of warehouses from the STEX and LEX, and a modular oil terminal. I have nearly all the simpeg stuff - its great! For ports, I would recomend any off the STEX. Heres a few to start with: Happy building - and if you get stuck (like I do a lot!!), just post on here! @wcraig - thanks a lot!! took me ages! Sad thing is, it now no longer exists! I obliterated the city that contained the port, as I wasn't completely happy with it. Have been putting a new one together for some time now - will post some pics of the new one here soon. @wilba_victory - nice busy port area there!!

Thank you both!!! I found that rail slope peice, but couldnt get it to work - so I leveled up the embankment a little, built the viaduct up to the edge of the slope and it worked!!!!! i knew coming here was the best idea!! cheers all

Hi all i know someone here will know the answer to this! Its driving me mad, and I really don't know what to do! Basically, I have a rail bridge crossing a river. I have built 15m embankments either side to allow room for ferries. Trouble is, I want to transition the end of the embankment to the viaduct pieces. Heres a pic to show what I mean: As you can see, the height is correct to transition nicely to the viaduct - thing is I dont know how to do it!!! please can one of the Simtropolis rail gurus help? @nonnymoose - when you say you can have commercial facing them, do you mean that commercial can build up them rather than roads? @basty_goofy - thanks! Will take a look at those when i get home!

Hi all I am looking for some sort of modular plaza set that will enable me to build fairly large city plaza's - I have Paengs parks installed and they are great for my suburbs, and smaller town sqaures, but I am looking for something a little more urban! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Had a look on the STEX, and while there are plaza's, I cant see a modular kit!! Thanks in advance all Nige

Thanks Captcity!!! Totally had the wrong NAM installed!! Have rectified, and all is running smoothly!! May also be the reason some of my city was stagnating as well!! Its picked up already! Thanks so much for your help!!

I do have the NAM installed - how is the easiest way to check that I have the correct option installed?

Thanks for the warm welcome!! Checked the .exe, and its the one you state, so looks like its up to date. I have placed the station's with the arrow toward the road, and run rail right past the station - still not working :-(

Hi all First can I say what a great site this is! The level of expertise is breath taking! This is my first post, and I'm after some of that expertise!! I am having trouble getting the sims to use rail. I set up a sandbox area, and zoned an area of res, and then a zone of industrial. I linked them only be rail - no road or other connections between them, and it just isn't being used!! Really frustrating, as I have downloaded the HSR, and want to use it to link my region together. Tried monorail, El rail, HSR, and normal maxis rail, and none are used! What am i doing wrong! Please help!! Cheers Nige
