I really like the transportation map mod very much, but I was wondering whether you have a mod for showing the zone colors on the map too, or if you are adding them manually in the picture. By the way, I like the way that you develop the farmland, it looks very interesting to say the least. The way you play around with grass lots and trees intermixing those with farmland gives a very realistic look.

Still Edmonton is going great, I am admiring the attention to detail. I have a question though: I was wondering which lot-pack I have to download to get the diagonal tarmac pieces that I spotted on the airport pictures? Thanks X-man

How did you get those wonderful trees? I would like to have an autumn look too!!! Great screenshots, I like your city very much and I will follow the journal as it develops.

No offence meant, your work is cool. I have only discovered this thread a number of weeks ago and I was not aware that have been doing this for so long. I guess I kinda got spoiled with the daily updates!

I am looking forward to the next update TJD. Please don't let this thread die, the project is awesome!!!

A community member since 5/25/2003 I am still visiting the site on a daily basis. Although I have not been posting much, I don't have much time to play the game, I keep track of most developments. Actually my first city journal is coming up soon. Edit: being a simcity player ever since the original version and owning all subsequent games, I think it sucks not to have the time anymore... the game is so addictive...

Date: 6/18/2004 5:51:46 PM Author: And for X-man I'm not sure by what you mean.....The region (whole) pic is done by a program called 'Region Census' with this you can take whole views of the region at one time or even cities. Its handy for large images like the last one I posted. Or if you mean is it possible to get a pic to create the region for yourself.....Which can't be done....I made the region by hand...that alone took several months to get it to be this accurate. Only major regret I have is the Valley is much to deep which makes some areas very hard to recreate. For anyone PM me and I'll give you my MSN so you can DL the region (blank) from me. Also my email is listed somewhere far back in the journal. quote> It's the region census thing I meant, thanks...

I like you methodic approach to developing the overall layout of the city first and running the simulator later. Keep it up, I am keeping track of you CJ for a while now and I check every day for updates! I have a question (to anyone who knows): is your normal region view a composite image or is there a way to take a screenshot of the whole region? My screen is not big enough to view the whole region at the same time...

Take a good look at the smaller pictures you posted, and you'll see what I mean, The black portion consists of two parts, a larger radius bit with the smaller radius bit, which you already have in your model, on top
