  1. so what do I do? being from the US I never use LHD
  2. ok, now I'm mad, I've put days of work into what i've been doing and now the entire region is gone! Someone has gone in and removed most of what was in the fileshare directory, all of the plugins are gone, both the testing region and westbay is gone with the tutorial region in their place...JeeKTan, please tell me you have backups, otherwhise I'm going back to single player. This is unacceptable to have so much work destroyed.
  3. ovchar, I'm afraid I can't understand what you're saying. your english is too broken for me to understand.
  4. technically I always use RHD though with the new interchange I put in there is a short stretch where the flow of direction is swapped, the game however shouldn't see this as such sence I'm using separate road tiles for the switch in question
  5. JeeKTan, can you please do something about the city that someone plopped next to mine? I have no idea who put it there as the mayor of the city is " - " but given almost the entire city is sky scrapers and has been pretty much plopped down (I find it highly unlikely someone could build up a city like that, that fast and so my conclusion is that it was imported), it seems like someone purposefully broke the rules and used the " - " mayor name as an attempt to hide who did it.
  6. steam would work though non-steam versions of the game would need to be set up to support the steam console.
  7. JeeKTan we need a testing region to fiddle with mod elements and make sure mods aren't conflicting with each other in a way that doesn't interfere with the development of the main region. As I said before, the one I made was meant for testing only. The idea is to go in, test things that need to be tested and clear the area that's been worked with after finishing. It's ment for testing things in a sandbox environment that shouldn't be keeped long term. The only reason I would have to save using a testing region would be to find out what is causing the game to crash and why, making a benchmark after finding stuff that works and eliminating stuff that doesn't. In either case, after a testing session is complete, the city area used during the test is ment to be cleared. An example of things that this region would surve it's purpous for is how some of the GLR stuff doesn't seem to work properly, figuring out why and how it's acting up, and trying to see if there's a way to resolve it (possibly leading to looking at the readme file to see if something's missing). Another example of how the area can be used as a testbed is for figuring out how to lay down puzzle pieces in a sertan way, the additional highway options for example, if someone is trying to make a specific arrangement for an interchange or something, it could take someone quite a while to make the nessisary tweeks to work out how to do it before implementing it in the regular city. I should note that in doing this method, using the import city option would allow someone to temporarly import their city from the main map so that they can test using the terrain of the actual city for the testbed before putting the final version of what's being done within the actual city within West Bay As a side note for why I support this is that unless someone desides to adopt the exact same set of addons, the non-multiplayer directory WILL act diffrently. To sum it up, the testing region I had made was for the purpous of weeding out bugs with the addons we have (or are missing in the case of dependancies) and experementation of puzzle pieces in a temporary area. Edit: you know how you were requesting people make realistic cities? I just found someone ploped one right next to mine that just about is solid sky scrapers and looks to be an imported city, not something someone built from the ground up :/
  8. and what about what I'm doing? my city is sortof split up into districts Edit: I'm making a blank region for the purpous of testing mod elements, primarily transportation related. This area is not ment to be used for regular gameplay.
  9. having compared my city so far with others, it seems I'm the one making the most progress xD I'm curious what you meant by "realistic" city layouts. All I'm doing is following the demand (and in the case of industry, pumping up the I-D and I-M taxes to promote farms and high-tech only)
  10. jeektan about 30 min after I posted the region seemed to be restored with one out of the four cities recovered with the terrain restored with the other three.
  11. Ok I don't know what people are doing but now there are four cities that have been tampered with and it's making me want to go back to playing single player so I'm not at risk of being targeted by whoever's doing this. I joined this so I could participate in a community project, not witness stuff being ruined and hope I'm not targeted next... Edit: the more I tinker with it, the more I find the GLR stuff isn't working properly, the RTMTv3 GLR components seem to be missing dependancies and I'm still having problems on the multiplayer map with the additional GLR stations I requested which makes me wonder if there's a conflicing addon somewhere.
  12. JeekTan, I also found that one of the dependencies is missing from the GLR addon I suggested earlier, the SFBT Essentials needs to be added for the avenue stations in the GLR mod to work properly. I would download it myself but according to their site I've "reached my quota" Edit: is there a way for you to restore or re-render the sections that were tampered with? Even if the cities can't be saved, it would look really bad to not be able to restore the terrain in the two areas.
  13. Yes, I did that right after I noticed. Everything has been reset to default values within that area, like someone deleted the city from the region window. Edit: Here's a screen shot of the city that went poof Edit 2: I think one of our members is asking for trouble, the city roman had been working on is gone now :/ JeeKTan, I think it might be wise for you as the host to keep a backup of the region to keep people from tampering with it where they aren't supposed to...I know my area isn't very big yet but I don't want someone coming in and litteraly flattening my area once I've built up, not to mention it ruins not just the city but the landscape... Edit 3: After my game crashing a few dozen times after I put the start of the GLR system in using the SFBT GLR tram mod, I took a look at the readme and noticed that I missed a critical step in trying to install the regular GLR station from it. So that others don't need to go through the same trouble I did, I have placed the readme file for the mod in with the CAM manual and SC4 rush hour guides. Anyone that has trouble figuring things out with those stations, please take a careful look at the readme, skipping steps is what caused my game to crash.
  14. anyone here interested in setting up a channel to talk in for those of us participating in the multiplayer? Edit: I donno who did it but someone just flattened the area west of jakub's "heaven" to default values
  15. I would like to propose we add the BSC SFBT GLR Tram Mod if we haven't done so already, this would allow the use of up to four distinct GLR lines within a city(identified as blue, green, red and yellow lines) and give a good variety of station types to work with for the GLR system.
