Very nice marina. It's making me wet just looking at it! (the water)

BADA$$!

Wow, major props on the creativity - I have never seen anything like this! What an awesome and unique way to present your wonderful pictures to us, they look even more stunning and elegant by showing them the way that you have. That would make a great coffee table book for real!
-
Wow, some of those pictures don't even look like SC4 - that is so cool! It doesn't get any better than this!
-
Dude, Jackson Park looks incredible - I can't believe I missed that one! I absolutely love the combination of retail shops, dining and entertainment areas you have going on. And I thought the daytime pics were awesome but then you completely blew me away with those night pics - those were some of the best I have ever seen. Great job with the whole area!
-
Go with the park and housing, definately! Looking forward to it...

They really are well done BAT's! Thanks for commenting, and look forward to hearing from you again! dabadon5 - Thanks, glad you think so! jjune4991 - That's right! Thanks again and I'm glad you like my region shots! rusummer1 - Thanks, that building is on the stex - it is relatively new, so it should be on one of the more recent pages. dfnva - Thank you, glad you are liking my airport! Thanks for commenting again! Almighty Nienaber - Thanks! See you later! jacqulina - Hey Jacky! I'm doing well, very glad that you like my pictures - and thanks for always being so nice and commenting so much! Jill Jacobs - Don't pretend like you don't like it, Jill - I'm just getting started! bbfan02 - Thanks again, glad you like my pictures! asturianu - Thank you, I'm glad you feel it's getting better! I wouldn't want it to become stale! Glad you like my airport stuff! SaltandVinegar - Hey! I really hate snow too! Luckily we don't get it too much where I live. I did get 8 inches a few weeks ago, but it was melted and gone by the next day. It will be sprawling out pretty far, I'm just trying to jump around to different sections so no one gets bored! You will notice a more grid like pattern with the avenues farther out in the suburbs, though the actual neighborhood streets will be curved and winding! Thanks! Giligone - Thank you! Always glad you like my pictures, but I need to talk to you about your drug problem - we may need to have an intervention! Hehe Floidiot92 - Hey, thanks - that means a lot! I'm really glad you like my cj and think it's realistic! Thanks for that rating, and welcome to simtropolis! This update will showcase some developments at the newest bar and club district known simply as the West End... Pic 17.1 - Daytime aerial overview from the West... Pic 17.2 - A close up of downtown with the West End district at the bottom of the pic... Pic 17.3 - Here is the area developed so far at night... Pic 17.4 - Here you can see the Copper Basin Aquarium on a late Friday evening... Shark feeding time is at 08:00 hours, so the inmates arrive at ohhh... 7:30 hehehe... Pic 17.5 - This is the West End around 10:00PM. The building with the purple neon is the Bru House - one of Jill Jacob's favorite nightspots, and to the right side of the pic you will see a white building lit up which is ClubFX, where she likes to dance and get her freak on... da da da dadada... < -
Hey Jacky, the teaser images look great, and I love the look of your farms on the previous pages - there is so much detail in each little farm, it is really amazing! Looking forward to your next update!
-
Wow, this is an excellent cj - I really like how the city and the terrain coincide together nicely. Your airport looks great, and I am amazed by the detail of your terminal maps. If there is room, could you schedule an international flight to Copper Basin, Arizona? Thanks, and again - awesome cj!

I got most of my inspiration from O'Hare International! jjune4991 - Thanks, yes the airport takes up most of one large city tile, you are correct in saying that! Glad you like it! Almighty Nienaber - Thanks for commenting , check out the bottom of page 8. (you probably already have by now) lol Giligone - Thanks! I'm glad you like all the detail, and it did take a very long time to build - but even longer for me to show the update! lol GreekMan - Thanks, and yes it did! Markus J - Thank you, glad you like the gated community - and thanks for being a fan of my airport! lol Andronicus22 - Thanks, and I'm glad you like my building style! dbranch - Hey, thanks for commenting! I'm glad you find it realistic, that terrain mod is cycledoggs painted desert terrain, found on this site - as far as I know, there is no way to load plugins specific to one region. Whatever is in your plugins folder will show up when you start the game, no matter what region you play. You just have to add and remove the specific plugins before starting the region you will be playing. Thanks! The_Hutt - Thanks, glad you think it is getting better! gabry85 - Thank you very much, I'm glad you like my airport, gabry! Kiwi n Grapes - Thanks, there are huge underground parking garages! bighaben - Thanks, that hotel is the Holliday Park Plaza Hotel, by Bixel: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?p=results I like your idea and will probably make another smaller runway for GA only to use. Thanks! pilotdaryl - Thank you, and I am looking forward to seeing your airport! The_Hutt - Thanks, and that is a good idea - extending the taxiway left of runway 9R. I am going to do that, I was thinking about putting some economy parking there, but there is enough parking already!
-
Love the pics. If I could make industrial areas look as good as yours I would, but I can't - so i will just have to keep coming back here to look at them!

Wow, I have missed a lot of awesome updates here! Your pictures all look freakin unbelievable, the colors are so vibrant - great job!

Yes, Hell has frozen over - and I am finally showing my airport! (I haven't been working on it this whole time, trust me!) Really, this took a few days to finish - though I will do some editing to it as I continue spreading out my city. Anyways, sorry for the long delay! Here are the replies (half a month later) jjune4991 - Thanks, I'm really glad you liked that! bbfan02 - Thanks again for your great comments! cityhawk - Thanks, I'm keeping it coming! Pic 15.1 - Starting off with a region shot... Pic 15.2 - terminal map... as you can see, the logo and name is based off of Phoenix's Sky Harbor airport... Pic 15.3 - Overview of airport from the West... Pic 15.4 - Closer look at the terminal area. I gained inspiration for this design by looking at pictures of Chicago's O'Hare International airport - w -
Love the taxiway over the avenue! I actually have something like that in the airport I'm making, except it is a highway going underneath the taxiway, but yours looks really cool!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Any spare, spare time I have had to play the game has been spent developing my new airport, which is gigantic (to me at least). I am trying to make it really good so I have been looking at lots of aerial photos of real airports, mainly O'Hare and Phoenix's Sky Harbor, and I also have been having to make many more custom lots for the airport in the Lot Editor. I am pretty slow at making airports, so right now it is about 50% finished, not counting the little finishing touches once all the "structural" work is done. I hate posting here without showing any pictures, but I did want to just broadly answer a few of the questions asked within the comments from the last update. The Arizona homes are the Posh Villa's from the Houston tile set from Maxis, I just edited the lots for them. The Wal-Mart, Super Target, and Red Roof Inn were made by bobbo662. I downloaded those a while back, and he has since removed the BAT's from this site to redo them. I just redid the lots for un-updated versions that I already had myself in the Lot Editor. He has started releasing some of the updated buildings over at SC4D. Anyway, again I 'm sorry for there not being any recent updates, but my next one will be the airport - so you will just have to wait - and no preview pics either! So in the mean time enjoy some of the many other wonderful cj's that are on the site! see ya! -

Great updates, your pictures are taken from some very nice viewpoints - which makes them turn out looking even more excellent! -
I've missed some awesome updates! I like how you are showing your SC3K version of the city, for comparison, and all of the developments you are doing look great. My favorite pic out of all of them is 5.18 - that hillside neighborhood is sweet!
-
I'm speechless - other than OMG, what the funk - how did you do that!!!! Those reflections in the water are freaking sweet! And by that I mean I like them! lol

Here is another update! ky72x - Thanks again, always glad you are enjoying my pics! Almighty Neinaber - I use a combination of parking lots. The transit enabled part is PEG's commercial alley, and when I put other parking lots next to it they all look like they're connected. Thanks! masochist - Hey, thanks - glad you like my cj! One thing I felt my city was lacking was some Arizona/Vegas style homes, but I tried to come up with a solution which you can check out in this update! Glad you like my photo editing, I like showing different time of day shots - as you mentioned. Thanks, just comment whenever you feel like it! bbfan02 - Thanks, glad you liked all that stuff! lol dfnva - Thank you, I was hoping it would turn out realistic looking and not too overdone! Giligone - Thanks again, and I burned up two hours just on the area in that one picture, the whole retail area took more like 5 or 6 hours over a span of two days! lol Yeah, I know I'm slow!!! tigerplayer91 - That's cool, glad to hear that it looks good in comparison - and thanks for commenting as always! vivydu29 - Thanks, glad to hear that! gabry85 - Thank you, glad you like my retail area! YaaYaYa, which means lol! Shanna - Hey, thanks - glad you like the flowers and the night pics! nihonkaranws - Thank you, glad you like my highways, thanks for commenting! PhilsCafe - Hey, thanks again - yes, the city is full of things to do both day and night - and you'll be glad to know that your apartment comes with complimentary binoculars! lol getdown11 - Hey, thanks! Traffic is running smoothly so far, some of the large suburb editions kind of get backed up for the morning and evening commute, but other than that it's all good! I'm glad someone from Arizona thinks it resembles it though, since I've never been there myself! Simtastico - Thanks again! lucky7 - Thank you, here is more now! lol jacqulina - Hey Jacky, hope you had a great Valentine's day! Guess what, I'm still glad you like my pics! lol Here are the pics, I will add captions in a second! Pic 14.1 - A new Wal-Mart supercenter opened recently on 71st street, just Northeast of the mall: Pic 14.2 - Here is a look at the area, with a Whataburger, Texas Roadhouse, Exxon, another KFC/A&W, and a Red Roof Inn where the mattresses are 80% blood free!: Pic 14.3 - Here is that area at night, now the mattresses are only 70% blood free: Pic 14.4 - A close up view from the back - room 208 is said to be haunted, and is also the most requested room. I can't even mention the horrible things that ghost has been witness too!: Pic 14.5 - Some experimenting with an on/off ramp I made: Pic 14.6 - Here is my first AZ style neighborhood, all pretty much the same house just in different hues of white, with rock front yards and small backyards - many with pools: Pic
