  1. Lot Request Thread

Hi all! I'm interested in making cities that reflect a future that's much more environmentally stable than the world we live in, and have been trying to get modding tools working on Linux, under Steam without luck. I'm looking specifically for some municipal works for these projects. Specifically; 1) MSW composting - something similar to the recycling depots already in game; reduces trash destined for landfill or waste-to-energy plants and provides a boost to agricultural demand by composting food and paper waste. Effectiveness boosted by the pre-sort requirement, ideally. 2) Runoff remediation - facility that uses some fast-growing aquatic plant to capture nutrient runoff from farms and turn it into garbage - either for composting via MSW facility, for biofuel in a waste-to-energy plant, or for just landfill. Would reduce agricultural water pollution, increase agricultural demand, and produce garbage that needs to be dealt with. 3) Biofuel plant with carbon capture - power plant that provides a large boost to agricultural demand (for growing the biofuel), provides power similar to a gas or oil plant, with low pollution but for a relatively high price - higher, say, than gas but lower than waste-to-energy. I'm also interested in some city ordinances, go figure, but figure this isn't necessarily the place for them. If anyone has any tips on modding in Linux that'd also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
