Hello everybody, I recently made my industry more organized (and in my opinion, better looking) by parcelizing (Ctrl + lay industry) One guide encourages this but there isn't much research on the topic, and based off my own experience, it makes less revenue for taxes and has fewer jobs per square. For example, an industry that is on a single square has about 50 workers and a large industry on a 3 X 4 (12 squares) has at most 160 workers. Also, I started replacing small industry with larger industry slowly and noticed my revenue was decreasing and now I make little or no profit. Can someone please explain this to me, thank you. Okay, thank you, I see it caused the stagnation or "death" of my dirty industry city... I like the aesthetic qualities of big industry though. Well I deleted the region and started a new "clean" city so it is good enough... I don't use mods, I use the "vanilla" flavor of SimCity 4, yes, it's OCD I'll admit P.S. I was wondering about the proper usage of the term "parcelization" as well.

I hear you all say you love NAM but to tell the truth it has nothing to good... You may be thinking I'm crazy but... I think I'm missing something... But mod I like is PEG's garbage chute thingy, it has a creative "story" behind it about "new isometric views and a general uncaring spirit"

Mods for building freeway tunnels?

The FLUP can't go under buildings but it can go under roads. you have to draw each underground section separately... Yawn To tell the truth, I never really liked the NAM... also, tunnels have to be straight, not diagonal either (The MAXIS ones atleast) unless there is a mod... (IDEA!) Hope I can help -

I believe that it is supposed to do that. For example, on one street nearly all houses are the same in real life, two story houses in my suburban neighborhood, apartments in New York, etc. I have seen eight identical middle income, high density houses. Perhaps Sim City doesn't use a RANDOM function but instead uses a variable "log" on a street.
