The "Wish-This-DLC-Would-Come-Out" Topic
GoingNumb posted a topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Hiii i thought: lets make a topic where we can discuss about future DLC's that we hope they gon release. Dont forget, this is not a topic to complain about bug fixes or whatever. So here it is, bring it on. My idea: seasons, gives your city so much more life with snow, rain, heat whatever. They can add more weather disasters like huricane, tsunami or whatever. -
Simcity 5 fast forward to today
GoingNumb replied to towerman's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
That's a nice way of putting it actually. A lot of the vitriol aimed at simcity is due to the developers either not managing expectations properly or the fact that they were largely ignored by the fan base. The latter is I think more the issue. Before this game was released I specifically remember being told that the map sizes were going to be smaller, it was going to be always online, terraforming was gone and there were going to be no subways. 5 months after release and people are still screaming for these additions (particularly on the Facebook page). I think it is a great game that was (is) hampered by bugs. What is worth noting is that this game has a completely different feel to the predecessors despite being a city builder. This is likely why they dropped the number from the end of the title to distance themselves from 4 without loosing to much of the existing fan base. If you want offline play, terraforming, etc simcity 4 is the game for you. That game when modded correctly is the city painter that a lot of people (myself included) love. The new simcity provides more of an entertaining gaming experience though not necessarily the better city building experience. Yup thats true. SimCity 2013 is a new game and not really a sequel to SimCity 4 tbh. Expectation of this game wer so high that this game looks like trash right now while its actually a fun game tho. -
Is upgrading to digital deluxe worth the money?
GoingNumb posted a topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
So there is a sale now, yay. I'm thinking about upgrading my limited edition to digital deluxe. I saw some nice Paris citys and stuff like that but maybe its fun for like 10 minutes and after 10 minutes I never use the city packs anymore. Is this citypack awesome or a waste of my money? -

I know right, that would add more unique things to some part of the game and I think it would look awesome to see the city covered with snow or see yachts and jetski's at the beach during summer YES @ the transporation DLC and i agree with the unrealistic ones, but i do like the UFO tho :-P zombie attack is just weird and the lizard is annoying as hell. -
Simcity 5 fast forward to today
GoingNumb replied to towerman's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I love SC5. I understand alot of SC4 players hate it because you can do soooo much with SC4 and its way more realistic. SC4 is more a sim then a game tho and SC5 is 50/50 game/sim, in my opinion. -
Okay first of all sorry if a post like this is marked as spam but just wanted to say something Its really annoying how the busses are driving, sometimes they just seem to ride circles on the same road for an 'in-game-hour', is this normal? I think it would be great if we had the option to point out the route for busses instead of let them drive like they dont even own a drivers license.. And i had a great idea they should do in a future update, its sooo annoying that buildings are catching fire while there are like 40 firetrucks, but they seem to be stuck in traffic. Thats so unrealistic. In real-life cars will get out of the way if they hear sirens so they will reach their destination fast. Sims in my city should do that too. What do you think?

Busses & City Services cars

I know its such a big mess. Hope they will find out something for this. -
Terraforming, subways and bigger cities all might be coming
GoingNumb replied to mastorofpuppetz's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
i think there will come an public transporation expansion pack, at least i think thats what they should release. With subways, monorail, highways, advanced trainstation or something that would be pretty cool. -

SimCity Update 5 + Mac Delay
GoingNumb replied to macscfan's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Everybody knows this game is still messy so who cares about a messy mac version too.. Sorry but i think the simcity hype (outside the simcity community ofcourse) will be over in august. So if they think about money, they could better release it now. mac user already play it in bootcamp or whatever. Oh well, i just have to wait a bit longer but its all good because i can launch a freaking balloon in the air. -
Im wondering how long you guys play with one city?? Mostly when I play SimCity and start a new city, everything goes perfect and im like: yes this city is going to be awesome! but after a while the city goes to hell because of money or everybody is sick or whatever. So mostly my city last for a few hours -_- Just curious: How about you?

I dont know if I post this in the right section but i will SimCity work on my white late 2009 macbook? 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM 1067 MHz DDR2 NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB http://support.apple.com/kb/SP579?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US Thanks!!! EDIT: I mean the Mac version that is coming out soon, so no bootcamp or whatever
-
Btw: "my specs are fine" means it only works fine on low settings or also higher?
-
I dont mean until it crumbles to nothing.. Just till its way 2 chaotic to handle it if you understand what i mean :-P Mostly after a few real hours my city becomes a hot mess...

Yay thanks

DLC you would want to see for this game.
GoingNumb replied to cubercaleb's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
ore stuff that brings more life into the game like seasons and holidays like christmas, halloween etc. So if its christmas, you will see christmas decoration on the houses etc. Now that they improved graphics and everything is 3D.. this would be a cool add-on tho. -
Hello, I got SC4 on my macbook and it runs good.. But there are some texture errors i guess. Look at the screenshot:
-
So I made a new region and created a residential city with some commercial zones too. cool place to live :-P And next to the city I created a industrial city with no residential zones... I connected those 2 cities. I see the factories coming but there are so many unemployed sims in the residential city!! They can work there right?? I dont really get it.. I also build an farm city and connected it but there are still many unemployed sims Dont know what im doing wrong now.

You have a long way to go. Read all the tutorials you could find here or in the other website. You'll have your glowing cities soon after you learn the art of developing in SC4. Greetings from Simtropolis Forum. Thanks guys!

Yes i downloaded the mac version... I did everything as the readme file said but my game crashed everytime i start my city.. But after a google search i found a solution. Thanks for the help!!
-
That's it ! 7K I-D + 6K CS$ is still below 44K R$, right ? I think you must add more factories around your city, 44k/2 is not equal to 7K+6K. You must be able to add another 11K workers (I-D, I-A, and CS$) to your city. About the NAM installation, have you read the readme ? All information and instructions to install the file should be available in the readme. Okay ill try to add more factories! But another question.. sorry if I'm asking to much !! My industrial town is not making profit.. it has only factories. So when I go to the industrial town, im losing lots of money.. And about NAM.. i've read the read me over and over again but its so confusing. Isn't there an auto installer for mac?? EDIT: I got NAM working!! yay
