  1. I have tried every possible combination of settings, nothing helps. Changing the frame limiting doesn't seem to make a difference. My specs: Intel Xeon W3540 @ 2,93 Ghz 6 gb RAM Nvidia Quadro FX 580 My graphics card maybe isn't the most suitable for gaming but it should do the trick, I would think. It also passed the test with an 8 on: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=3562&game=SimCity edit: just did the other test on the Nvidia-site and for that one I didn't succeed. Guess I'll have to buy a new graphics card. Any cheap suggestions?
  2. No it isn't because a lot of people actually have pretty good computers. But it's about options too. If I don't want Motion Blur, I should be able to turn it off without affecting the overall game graphics. Motion Blur has nothing to do with lightning anyway. In about all games (including this SimCity) high motion blur means that your system can't quite handle the game so it uses motion blur to disguise frame drops... When you say 'the system can't quite handle it', which part of it do you mean exactly? I'm way above all minimum system requirements. I even use this computer for motion graphic work.
  3. But isn't it weird that not everybody is having this problem then?
  4. A lot of people are having the same problem but are describing it differently. The 'Motion Blur'-topic in this section, for instance, is about the same problem. When I set the light to "normal", it looks great. As long as I don't move, that is. Setting it back to lowest light, the screen moves smooth again, but looks awful. Really frustrating.
  5. I have the exact same thing. My graphic card should be good enough: Nvidia Quadro FX 580 (512 MB). Looks terrible right now.
  6. Crazy's Collection of Cities

Absolutly love your work. Very inspiring!
  7. Show us your Riverside, Lakeside, or Oceanside

I have been looking at some more of these pictures and it came to my attention that my CDK-pieces aren't visible any more when they go under water. Does anyone have an idea what might be my problem? I use the Brigantine water mod. (sorry that I post this question here but for such a little thing it is not worth opening a new topic. I have been looking for a while with the search function but I don't think I've entered the right words. Or maybe I'm the only one with this problem)
  8. Show us your Riverside, Lakeside, or Oceanside

Great pics everyone! Here are some of mine. This city is still in full development but it gives an idea. As you see I use the Jpn walls as seawall because I don't like the way diagonal seawalls look with certain zoom levels.
  9. Show us your Downtown!

The first time I upload pics. Hope you like them. Region: Hugo Island (the name of my cat). I still have a lot of work to do.
  10. Crazy's Collection of Cities

This city is without a doubt the the best I've ever seen. I havn't played for a while now but lately I have been feeling the urge to pick it up agian. Seeing this CJ defenitly helps. Boomarked! Edit: how did you do those slopes for your roads? I usually use NAM-puzzle pieces to connect between terraces but I like yours better (especially for train tracks.
