For residential low rise (houses) just download mattb325's stuff. There are hundreds, and its great, makes your suburbs look real realistic.

Nice, I wanted to use Eaton but for some reason it wasn't working, so I used the three rivers region, which is huge!

The City of NewHope
thefunktopus commented on Nuclear550's City Journal Entry in New York Constitutional Monarchy: Now part of UAR!
Photovoltaic cells generate a current, the things that heat up water to steam are just mirrors focusing the light. No steam is involved with photovoltaic cells. Anyway, aside from that this is a nice start -and it REALLY reminds me of Fallout 3! -
K&NK - GRS (Ground Rail System)
thefunktopus commented on specializedguy's City Journal Entry in Chora
Keep up the good work! My GLR/TRAM system has now grown to about the size of my rail system (I replaced most suburban el-rail with rural GLR). This CJ is getting a 5* from me, well done. -
Wow no replies! This is really nice, and looks really satisfying to play. For your next challenge do you think you could do this with vanilla SC4? Keep up the good work.

@Selles Shizzle that a whole lotta farms. Some nice regions here. Here's mine as of last night, but it has expanded since then (and that stupid oval farm in the north has gone).

Tearing up large tracks of land and city for massive projects, fun?
thefunktopus replied to Dewm's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Corridors? PAH London has few, as the city has just sprawled for many years. Sure, there are some large motorway and rail corridors, but Iprefer to add them after. Gives a challenge. -

NAM For small towns check out the users Spa and JBSimio, find them on the stex. Also, try searching "small towns" -
Tearing up large tracks of land and city for massive projects, fun?
thefunktopus replied to Dewm's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I love choosing the most complicated transportation schemes to relieve traffic after a city has developed and spending ages in pause working out the best way to execute them. This is why the highest game date I've got to is about 70 years... -

This is really nice, and you have inspired me to go and get some tram/glr stations and develop a system in my cities.

Road Top Mass Transit (RTMT) - Development and Support
thefunktopus replied to cogeo's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
If I were you I'd download a mod that replaces brown boxes with small green and red things, which only cover what you don't have. These allow you to see what you need. I downloaded a road top mass transit (not sure which pack) and had the same problem -turns out the signs on top of the shelters were misssing. EDIT: Here we go: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=15297 -
Suburban fodder for my entry... EDIT: Does it look better in a rainstorm? (FIrst attempt, I don't think it's too good...)

Update 3: Industrial Rail Lines
thefunktopus commented on froelich131's City Journal Entry in Marshall County
I like the small town feel, but you have too many rail lines for a small town, and the industrials are too repetitive!! Also, could I suggest you download a terrain and tree mod? I'd recommend meadowshire, it's a little complicated to install but I did last week and all my cities look 10x better. Keep up the good work! -

thefunktopus replied to Pasta-power's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
@z1 Do you put that line in the top box or bottom box, Actually could you do a quick print screen to illustrate what you mean?
