Sorry for the lack of updates - just a few random pics from one of my suburbs. My region overall is just under 900,000 now. quiet little suburban area along a river traffic exiting after a ballgame - i need to clean up the area along the water a little bit and change the big ave into a TLA-7 simple interchange just south of a suburban area. i still haven't gotten comfortable with the RHW - but i wanted to space my one way roads far enough from the interchange itself to use the TLA pieces.

good stuff, i love the older buildings mixed in with the more contemporary styles.... -
x2 on logic bomb's launcher. i had crashes left and right due to the game's inability to support multi-core processors, and - i guess i was doing something wrong, but windows never recognized my command line switches. the launcher has helped me out tremendously, and crashes are rare now - but the launcher also has an auto-save feature, so when they do happen, they aren't as frustrating. my larger cities do run a little bit slower, but i'm on a laptop and i have about 3.5 gigs worth of plug-ins.

I hate to repeat what's been said already, but I love the tiered waterfront... beautiful city

Wow... that's amazing.... -
I've changed a couple things since the last post - I changed to Heblem's Yucatan terrain, and added the Brigantine 2.0 water mods - Both made a world of difference, but now I have to go through all of the rivers and "dredge" them, since the water is very shallow and....lol...is the same color as the beaches. Oh, I threw one of marsh's beach mods in too. Anyway, here's a small update starting with a region overview - sorry for the lousy pictures, I'm not a photoshopper at all. Link to map - Most of my development is in the large central valley in the next pic. I've started up in the north, and I have TONS of room to expand. And this is just an experiment - rather than running my freeway over the mountain, or using a tunnel, I just wanted to carve it out and line it with the concrete walls. I'm not sure I like how it turned out, I think I need to make it wider just so I have room to add details.... Thanks for the feedback guys.

I dig your style - I really like the 2nd to last pic of the overpass. those walls are great! I like how you've managed to build your denser areas up without making it look like you just started plopping skyscrapers everywhere. Good stuff.

Well, I've been reading and watching all of these huge ongoing, amazing CJ posts - Nathanthemayor, Paeng, tons of you guys have inspired me a lot.... Anyway, I've been a member and reading and lurking for years now, downloading content like crazy.... Finally going to start posting some stuff up here, no big backstory, just some pictures of my works in progress. I'm really just trying to get some feedback on things I can improve. The map is of Busan, Korea - I believe drunkapple made it. I have tons of plugins, and I have this ongoing nightlighting issue - I have Mandelsoft's streetlight pack, and they're beautiful, but they make some lots ridiculously bright - but it doesn't bother me enough to go back. Anyway, on with the show. Night shot of a park - I LOVE this tower, it's beautiful at night. This area was supposed to be a suburb. It kept growing, I kept working it - there's a giant TLA-7 loop surrounding it, primarily low density residential with some med commerce and a shopping center here and there with the civic buildings in to keep things safe. Note the super bright lot. Last but not least, something I've been trying to work on for a while - I've torn this down and rebuilt it a dozen ways, I really want my "town center" to be full of old-skool buildings with a canal down the center of the main avenue.... Ok, now go easy on me,...

i couldn't agree more. i've added about 3 gigs worth of add-ons so far. the only drawback is my cities aren't developing, because i keep getting distracted by downloading more content. so, a big thanks to all the developers from around the world, all the people who pay for the webhosting - thanks for making it impossible for me to stay focused...lol
