  1. Hello to all, due to the complexity of this recently released mod, I think is a good idea to open this support thread for it. Please post here any bugs or problems you may find when using it. Also post your questions regarding this mod, after reading the included readme file If you want to post a nice pic instead, feel free to do it !!! OK, come on, lets start with the problems....     SIMTROPIA Hello to all. This is going to be my second CJ. Dont expect big surprises. I am still playing SC4 . Why Simtropia ?¿. Simtropolis + Utopia, since this will be an utopic region created for the Simtropolis Community !!! I hope it will deserve the name ... This time I decided to start with a blank 8X8 medium city tiles region. Many reasons for this. Not too many cities (64 is a good number , and not too big (medium size is the best for my computer ). And I can develop the land the way I want. Dont expect many changes from my other CJ Sculpting Columbia River . There wont be a big history behind this CJ. Only landscaping and cities building. Maybe some more attention to the detail and functionallity of the cities. Again it will be a matter of patience. After my first experience in the CJ´s world, I´ve learnt many things, that I will try to aply to this CJ. Some of them: A Table of Contents with links to all the updates and relevant posts. I will use this initial post from now on to start the CJ TOC. I would recomemd to all the visitors the check it as it grows, to easy find out what you are looking for. Less regularity. I will be able to post maybe twice per week. I will try to answer all of your requests but it´ll take its time. And this time I started the region at the same time as the CJ, so I will need some time to develop before updating. Same pics quality.   5. Of course more RAM is always welcome for any operating system . However, the key for the SC4 CTD's is the number of files in your plugins folders. The more files, the more CTD. The less files, the less CTD. For windows is easier to keep a 1GB file in the RAM than having 1000x1MB files to manage in the same RAM. You can make a simple test. Pack your plugins folder with Datpacker (https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=204.0) and run your game. You will notice how sparsed (and probably totally unexistent if you have a good amount of RAM 2GB or more) the CTD's are. Just a suggestion for those who cant buy a new computer

    Hello, Those lots can not be placed the way you want to :-/ . You may search for Buddybud's versions or for my Walls version 2, which allow this feature but are different textures. I hope this helps.

    You can use the Datpacker program to compress your plugins folder. It will load several times faster, and will improve the game and menus loading times. Well worth a try
  10. You can set the plugins folder in the Sim City 4.ini file. However, it seems difficult to change the drive letter... but it is a simple matter of trying . Dont forget to make a backup of the Sim City 4.ini file before you edit it
  11. An ad on autism pulled

    "We have your son. We will make sure he will no longer be able to care for himself or interact socially as long as he lives. This is only the beginning." - I think the message is clear and I cant find it offensive at all. The problem is that Autism is a relatively unknown situation for most of the people, and people dislikes and fears what is unknows for them. Also, as josecwork pointed, it is not the same Autism or Autistic Spectrum. The message does not specifically mention who is it referring to. I understand the message is directed to those severe autistic persons, those who really wont be able to take care of themselves or interact socially never. I think here is where it fails to transmit the information. Those who are not in that situation feel named and offended, when they really shouldnt. They are fortunate to be able to have a relative normal life. Just my 2 cents.

    There is none which works the way you want atm unfortunately. I tried to do that in my version, but without success. It would be great to have such a mod thought.

  15. Theorically, you can try opening the model with the Reader, and then manually adjust the X,Z,Y coordinates and textures for every instance of the model. A hard task which could not work in the end The Lot Editor wont allow you to do that.

    This plopable water mod can be found at sc4devotion's LEX (Lot Exchange) - You should be able to find the 3DGmax model for this water in the STEX as well (only if you plan to render your own water texture).
