its a shame i cant search within this topic.....i cant get the program to start. ive looked in the readme file and nothing on my problem... when the program loads it asks me to choose a folder and to browse for the regions folder. i tried using the one that is given and the program just stops responding. i tried the other folder in the my documents folder and same problem the program stops responding. the stop responding info doesnt not appear in the task manager. windows pops up the "end now" box when i go and shut down or restart. please help. just a side note what happened to the terrain generator that was on this site like 2 years ago

ok its been a while since i posted here but i did receive in an email the latest NAM not too long ago and i came across a problem with the elevated rail peices that you can place something underneath along the stretch of it. its the icon at the top of the menu.

so the suckiest thing has happened. my pc crashed....everything was deleted. which is why i havent been here for a while. tomorrow or thursday i will install sc4rh again. reason for posting yes there is a reason. can anyone point me in the right direction for the best lots. you can pm me so tropod and company doesnt get mad. cant wait to see whats been happening with this mod. time to read from page 38.

regarding the partial cloverleafs..... say you are driving to work and you need to take two main roads. someone else needs to take 2 main roads. of course your not going to go the other way. but now lets say for arguements sake that you want to visit person b, who happens to be a buddy of yours, on the weekend. obviously the quickest way would be the turn off that isnt there. im sure you would know the way to get there, without that-way turn being there. the partial leaf clover would be really good to have in a city if you knew the routes the sims take....oh wait a minute...you do!

regarding bridges..not puzzle pieces. lets say you make a bridge...and the start/end tiles of the bridge were extended over some land (like 10 tiles in) is it possible to have roads (etc.) under them.

i discovered this just by being tired and plopping uncontrollably. TROPOD look at the attached file. do you know about this already.

as far as i know you can already make curves. you just have to know how. theres a certain way to get the curves instead of those annoying 90degrees turns when you want to diagnol a road. you can see the shadow form the curve. trial and error is all i have to say about that.

oh poo.....maybe that will be including in sc5 along with the grid changes i heard about. i read somewhere i think on the official site....that in sc5 since technology moves fast they might be able to have the grid change along with the direction of the road. example? sure diagnol roads will be able to have buildings facing them.

instead of making all these different type of interchanges, cant you make onramps to act like roads in regards to making them only. you know click and drag, the creation shouldnt have to be a one drag thing. i mean so that way we can turn them and create those circular ramps everyone wants. maybe also a piece for ending a highway although that can already be easily done. with one ways. so my request is a draging on/off ramp that is a one size fits all. meaning no need for different ones to attach to the different styles of roads. as if it's its own road type style. does this make any sense to anyone.

ok its been awhile since i posted on here.... i must have read the documentation about 5 times everytime i download it. cause inbetween is a fairly long period of time and i forget which is better, perfect or better. by the way redlotus which do you use? also i downloaded and used the i live reader program thing in the back because i actually wanted to contribute to this amazing peice of work, by doing what i want in the game. the elevated rail line over a road, obviously this is hard to do because making the stations would be hard. the train would have to be fairly high from the road in order to place a hanging station type thing. with stairs coming down to the sidewalk. well i looked into it and well im moving in a month so i really dont have time to actually read the documentation on the actual modding itself. i guess ill just have to wait till sept.

a little off the current topic... just wondering how that el-rail directly over the road is coming along. hey i was just looking for the pic i saw of it way earlier in this thread. Mr. Tropod i think you were working on that. did you take that post out i was really hoping for that to be done soon. all my life (ever since the original game came out) i wanted that in the game. i lived in Queens, NYC all my growing up years. took that train (called the A train) for like 7 years straight every weekend. i hope that doesnt become a dead issue

sorry i cant post a pic about this to show that it can be done, vlad. i use avenues a lot in my downtown areas. and one perk about the puzzle pieces is that i actually i have 2 avenues crossing without an intersection and with one ways as interchanges. if i remember when i get home ill post a pic.

especially that triple post i have created because my computer was running way too many programs and it took a loong time. ps exactly what about the NAM should we post, other than suggestions and feedback?

let me throw out a question here. which file are using to get the sims to walk that far. if my bus stops arent place like 20 tiles apart the sims would use the cars. even after i have in effect the MT only ordinance. its really annoying when they use cars and then get no job zots because the commute time is too long. maybe i should put in a subway system. that actually just made me think of a good thing to start doing. the subway system. ill look into that on my own to see what kind of values i can change with my newest toy (thanx ILive).

wow you make me not want to download this anymore. i feel so bad... i take it for granted that these nice people are doing this hard work, and they dont even get any simoleons out of it. i think Tropod & Co. LLC should talk to maxis. but of course i will continue to download the NAM as i actually talked to tropod about this. i am looking into changeing some things in my game. when i get home im gonna download the ilive reader.
