I take it you can make that choice with Terraformer? I've never used it before. I'm tired of all these little tiny towns that you put a large park or something in it and the town is half filled already. Any traffic problems with using only the large city tiles? Thanks for your help! -

This is any outstanding CJ!!!! Do you see posts on the earlier pages of your CJ or do I need to post all questions and comments on the last page? Wondering if you are having any traffic congestion issues in your region? Is this one large city tile or what size tiles are you using to make up the region? -

What are the sizes of your city tiles in the region? From what I can tell you have your airport and hospitals in different tiles than your downtown area. -

Is the football field a download or original design? That is really cool. -
I have been told that having too many R$$$ sims can start the abandoned building issue due to not having enough $$$ jobs in your city. Is there a way that you can tell what your percentage of the three wealth categories? Is the census repository the best way to get these numbers or is there something else? Thanks

This is very interesting. It's been so long since I installed the NAM......how do I tell if I have the Z simulator selected?

Does anyone know where I can find the expanded query tool mod? I here it lets you know information like the regular query tool, but just a lot more information about the entire city and not just the building that you happen to be highlighting.

Adding Variety to Maxis Zones

SWAT-MEDIC - I clicked on the link for the CAM and was taken to the BSC site, but was unable to download the mod. I looked all over on the page, clicked on a bunch of stuff hoping it would start the download and nothing happened. Do you have to logged in to the BSC as a member in order to download the mod? -
Hey UrbanSprawl - I'm jealous of the area that you live in. My wife and I were down on a business trip in the San Antonio and Austin areas and it was a gorgeous area. I noticed the freeways as well when I was down there are very impressive. They look very well maintained and able to flow a lot of traffic through them. The ones here in the Chicago area are all nasty except for the brand new I-355 extension that opened up a few months ago. It won't be long and it will look as bad as all the rest. Winter takes a nasty toll on them. I want to move back south in the worst way.

Blood Tranfusions vs. Freedom of Religion
SimCityeurocat replied to Aontan's topic in Current Events
Originally posted by: hym Out of curiousity, is it generally considered okay for a Jehovah's Witness member to, prior to a surgery that is going to require blood transfusion, donate blood and then have that blood put back in the body later? Many blood centers are okay with someone donating blood prior to surgery with explicit instructions that the blood be kept so it can be used for the donor's surgery.quote> To answer that question directly.....No, it wouldn't be acceptable to store the blood for later use. Once it leaves the body, it is over. Some have felt that it is acceptable to have their blood circulated through a filtering system of some kind. That would expand the volume of blood that would be produced by the body. The filtering system would be prime with Ringers solution or hetastarch and the body would naturally start building up the blood volume. The filtering system would just be an extention of the circulatory system. That way if the person lost some blood during a surgical procedure there would be added volume. Sorry for the uproar people. I just wanted to give you all some information from the perspective of one of Jehovah's Witnesses, not someone who thinks they know what they believe. Jehovah created man with free will and unfortunately man, as a whole, has strayed very far away from serving him in the way that he approves of. It is plain to see by the comments in this thread that there are a lot of views and everyone has their right to them. I have noticed, however, that people are very quick to tell Jehovah how they wish to serve him, but very few take the time to find out how he wishes to be served. This will be my last post on this thread, unless someone has a legitimate question. My aim is not to be argumentative, just informative. It's just when I saw this thread, I couldn't help but reply. :-) Thanks Everyone -
Blood Tranfusions vs. Freedom of Religion
SimCityeurocat replied to Aontan's topic in Current Events
Let me start out by saying that I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I understand that there is a LOT of controversy over this subject. That being said, let me try to bring some logic to what our belief is and why we think the way we do. I know that we live in an age of enlightenment, permissiveness and everyone trying to be politically correct in there comments and views on matters. But, it really does come down to what does Jehovah (that is the english translation of God's name Yahweh) expect of his servants. Jehovah's Witnesses cherish and deeply respect life. This is one of the reasons that we do not smoke, use addictive drugs or seek abortions. We have learned from the Bible to view life as sacred, something to be protected and preserved both for ourselves and our children. Then you might ask, why do Jehovah's Witnesses object to blood transfusions? Is there some rational basis for this conviction that they hold to, even in the face of death? Most doctors view the use of blood essentially as a matter for medical judgment, much as their daily decisions about using certain medicines or surgical procedures. Other persons may view the position of Jehovah's Witnesses as more of a moral or legal question. They may think in terms of the right to life, authority to make decisions about one's own body, or the civil obligations of the government to protect the lives of its citizens. These aspects all bear on the matter. Yet the stand taken by Jehovah's Witnesses is above all a religious one; it is a position based on what the Bible says, not personal preference or bent to the will of popular opinions. The Bible is very clear in that Jehovah God does not approve of the ingesting of blood in any shape or form. After the global flood, Jehovah laid this command upon Noah found at Genesis 9:3,4: "Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. As in the case of green vegetation, I do give it all to you. Only flesh with its soul-its blood-you must not eat." So the question is "Does the divine prohibition against blood apply to Chistians, or in modern times for that matter?" To really find the answer to that we need to look back to the time period when Christianity was in its purest form. That would be the time period following Christ's ascension to heaven and the Christian congreagation being formed in Jerusalem at the celebration of Pentacost of 33 CE. The Apostles and older men of the Christian congregation came to this conclusion that is stated at Acts 15: 28, 29, which says, "The Holy Spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication, if you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper." The command back in the days of Noah regarding the use of blood had not changed and it has not changed for Christians today. This is history folks, not Jehovah's Witnesses take on how it was and should be. It boils down to one very, very important conclusion that everyone has to come to for themselves.......Are we going to follow the laws and principles as set forth in the Bible or our own beliefs, wants, desires, etc.? The Bible holds out a wonderful hope for those who are faithful to Jehovah God. Even if they should need to, because of their adherence to God's laws, give up the life they have now. Based upon Jesus words at John 5:28, 29, even the dead have a hope of a resurrection, for it states in part: "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement." For those that receive a favorable judgment, Revalation 21:3,4 holds out these conditions on paradise earth: "With that I heard a loud voice fromt he throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, an -
