Problem installing Rush Hour
jerbod replied to llamapalooza91's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Originally posted by: llamapalooza91 I've owned simcity 4 and rush hour for a while now. I just got a new computer and want to install them both on it. Simcity 4 works fine. However, when I try to install rush hour, it stops at five percent and says there's some problem with the file SimCity_2.DAT. I've tried copying the files over to my computer and installing it from there, but SimCity_2.DAT won't copy over. Can anyone help me with this?quote> Just buy the original disc again. Your disc is corrupted. Nothing to do about that. -
It normally should work Jerbod

Originally posted by: denvilleworld Hey Guys, I have two questions, any kind of help will be much appreciated. 1. How do you make BAT buildings light up on a regular windows pc? I seen the post about the mac but that was it. 2. How do I load one of these regions that are available on this site into my game? I made a new region, I replaced the config file with the downloaded config file. I did the alt+ctrl+*****+r and tried loading the config file but nothing happened at all. Nothing is actually loading. Thanks, Dennis quote> Just read this post. It's all explained there https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=141&threadid=92955&enterthread=y

I have lost about 100,000 in my population due to this and I have no idea why. They have industrial and commercial lots right next to them, and the few buildings that were left un-abandoned showed the commutes going straight to the closest job areas and the actual distance was about 10-20 cells. Why is this happening? Does it have something to do with infrastructure, or is it some kind of bug?quote> I have had the same problem. Just make sure that you have 5000 jobs for every 10000 people in the city. Jerbod

I don't place schools until my pop is at least 3000 people. Schools and Hospitals are the most expensive buildings in the game along with utilities. Also in the beginning make sure you aren't overbudgetting your buildings. Jerbod
