The DOT rejects Supercity's proposal for transit. The DOT is not opposed to the other portions, such as the development and airport. If there is an extension of Highway 1, there will be no cloverleaf interchange. The trumpet was designed to permit the construction of a cloverstack, and that is what shall be built. The DOT rejects the diamond interchange, as this too will cause weaving. Hmm.. 250 gigs is a lot for me. One time I transferred a hard drive (not using the internet) that had 140 gigs on it. That is safe for me. It depends entirely on the situation. I'll first list some pros and cons. Roundabouts: All traffic keeps moving, thus saving gas. If all volumes are equal, it is efficient for traffic flow. Good for rural areas and suburbs. Cannot handle high volumes May be confusing Intersections: Very compact. Can handle moderate traffic volumes Can handle unequal volumes with ease Have to sit at light even if no one's coming Long waits I use intersections for urban and rural areas, and roundabouts mainly for the suburbs. You need to go to the duration field and type in 8, 10, or 15. That's what I do. b. I set it to 30 frames per second. c. I set the default duration of pictures in Windows Movie Maker to 12.5 seconds. This is under the options menu. d. I put the pics in there, and publish the movie. e. I put the published movie in the movie maker again, then I go to the Effects menu, and put in "Double Speed" twice. Then I publish it, and that's a 30 fps movie. f. I upload it to YouTube. g. I copy the embedding link onto my clipboard. h. I go to make an update, and I click on the icon that looks like a big anchor. Then I put the link in there. i. If anyone has proposals for businesses or suggestions for residential zoning, let me know. For businesses, please observe the rules stated some pages back. I shall give each proposal consideration for adoption. High traffic volumes in Franklin proper have necessitated more upgrades. The main road has been upgraded to an avenue, and more residential developments have been built: Also, if you look closely at the bottom, you can see a MIS ramp connected to a roundabout. This connects to I-85, and gives a more direct route for evening commuters. That idea was tested in Adamsburg in the Patrician Showcase. Well, I'd like to show some of my older creations, not exactly a beginning, but old nonetheless. Note: This city was a pre-MIS one, so the large highways are OWR instead. Here's a mosaic showing the formation of a short dual highway. Not cosmetic, but it does the job: Madness with GLR : And a OWR interchange feeding a ferry. The DOT sees nothing wrong with iamccman's plan except for the fact of the proximity of the street to the freeway. The DOT requests that the proposal to be amended to shift the road back 4 tiles, leaving 1 tile between the development and Highway 1. DTP: Anti-trust laws? They're probably necessary, but I think it's strange that in Virgin Shores there's almost no competition yet in Franklin we're drowning in companies. Wierd. Myself and CrazyArchitect have been in private communication for the past few days, and we have decided to build a regional office for LIH in Central Franklin: And a night shot: Plus a zoomed out night shot, showing western half of the downtown: Up north, in Franklin, this diamond interchange was overcrowded, carrying over 3000 cars per day: The ramps have been widened to 2 lanes, and it has eliminated congestion on the interchange: In North Franklin, the development has been completed, and it has doubled the population there: In River Bend, the rail line that plows north has been extended, and goes over SR-17: It curves slightly with 2 smooth rail curves. This is one of those times I think of FAR and FARR.... When it crosses SR-330 in North River, we encounter a new residential development. A station here will be built soon: Going west, to Northwest Mountains, the lumber workers can now enjoy some retail stores thanks to a commercial zone: Going to East Valley, even they are being affected by the recent population explosion. This is a development near the coal mine: And a development has even popped up near the rail embankment.
