Actually, the outside appearence of buildings in China often state their value. True, the quality of life in many Chinese cities are much lower, but that is not true in many of the buildings shown above. Having lived in Shanghai for 2 years, I know that a high-class residences are EXTREMELY expensive (around 1 million USD for a condo in Shanghai). Lower classes wouldn't be able to afford that. Their houses are much older, and of a lower quality (and some are less aesthetically pleasing).

Wonderful update! I'd love to be 'human again' at Emerald Falls
-
Excellent update! I love how you present your CJ as if you were a tour guide directing us around Hypertrophy. It's very different from other CJs.

Wow! Wonderful Update. I especially love the planetarium and marine university. May I ask which BATs they are?
-
Excellent update! What program did you use for that image of the subway?
-
Excellent work! I like how the curves blend in with the terrain.
-
Wow! Hypertrophy is almost like a 'perfect' city-culture, technology, freedom, and more.
-
Wonderful, wonderful update!

Wonderful progress! It certainly looks like a Northern Ontario town.

Of course, I did not mean any offense. Several friends of mine are actually gay/bi, and they're really cool to be around. Excellent update! I look forward to seeing more.

Very bold update! I love it!

Excellent work! I only dislike the tip (the Burj Al Arabs), as it looks a bit repetitive. Perhaps you could place something more iconic to mark the tip of the pyramid, like a large statue or 'city headquarters' type building. As for everything else, it seems to be coming along nicely.

Interesting update, especially the use of the posters with the cruise ships. I'm curious, is Hypertophy a city-state, similar to Singapore?

Wonderful work! I look forward to seeing more!

I think he means 'population' Excellent work. There should be 'airport trams' on the STEX that should fit in your city without ruining the terrain.

Interesting update! What's the path of the railway on the entire island? You could use the PEG Lakeside Resort: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=11423 or he GDV Waterside Resort:https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=2999 for the resort at Peak.

Excellent progress! I'm looking forward to the city itself!

Perhaps you could create a tourist resort. I'm sure many people would want to retreat to such a beautiful, quiet island for their vacation.

The PIM always freezes when I open it, and doesn't contain ANY model files(including the default 'little schoolhouse). It seems to be corrupted. I'm using Windows Vista, if that has anything to do with it.

I think you should put a beach there, as seawalls are unrealistic for such a small town. What is the dome and the silos beside it?

The Capital of the World!
FlyingObjects replied to spacenuteskimo's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I agree with many of the points above, especially Omnika (not about Jews) about the world capital being in neutral territory. However, it would mean that it would have to either be in Antarctica, aboard a ship, or a space station. Out of the three, I think a space station would be the most plausible-countries could contribute to it's construction and maintenance, like the current ISS. -
I don't understand, though. Why would hackers attack ST?
