Ohh I hope thats a landmark, I love my cities realalistic, having an Empire State Building in the middle kinda ruins it, but then again, I could always demolish it
-
This is my third CJ in a long time. This City's name is simply Metropolis. It is my largest city with over 315,000 sims. It has about a business population of 500,000 and an Industry Population of about 17,000 The Terrain is simple and flat with a river rinning through the east side separating the City and the Industreal Center. This city has gotten me many rare buildings I've never gotten in my 1 million sim region including, Van Prooijen Trading, Ong Condos, The Chandler, McCellan Inc, Fisk Insurance, Waco Co, Bryall Tower, Cahalane Communications, The Wilkinson, Martin Apartments and a few more. The City is probably 75 to 80% Developed its about 600 sim years old. I used the Super Money Park and Super Demand for Cheats. Here are some night picture previews. They where editied with Photoshop. This is awsome. ByeBye SCS!
-
What no llamas in SCS? Well I do like the, sky, um buildings, um trees? hm this is a tough one.
-
"America's next top hooker" Oh GTA you never fail at being funny.
-
Hmm this looks a little too good to be true. I mean, damn thats gonna take up a lot of computer space if you made a city like that. Plus I'd like to see some good ole' american cities. I'll keep my eye out on this one.
-
^Well the thing is I cant really upload anymore pics since its techincally not a CJ. So Staunton will continue of SSP. the Monkeys Uncle - I dont give my textures to anyone, sorry, Textures is what makes your City Unique. Did you try searching for textures on the net? I googled it and found plenty.

Superdemand, you guys havent head of it? Here it is. WARNING, sometimes I dosnt always work, so ask for help in the fourms. https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?p=details&id=185 Well thanks everyone! My 3D city, Staunton, New Jersey, I started almost exactly one year ago. I went from this: (JUNE 2006) Humble Begginings, based on Liberty City from GTA III To this: (SEPTEMBER 2006) To Staunton, New Jersey a Corrupt Metropolis with 2millionish people. I made my own textures. To this: (APRIL 2007) Staunton, still a declining Criminal city, but with Photo Textures! But unfortinanaly the City became a little too Big for a 2.7 million city. I was tired of the gird, the skyline, though large, was too unrealalistic for a city of 2.7 million. So I had to restart. I still wonder if it was the right choice? (JUNE 2007) Staunton, New Jersey, with a sexy new layout, no grid, still a "corrupt" city with 2.7 million people, takeing a more Lower Manhattan look. I'm focused more on the street level as well, most of the buildings are now very detailed. Here is the whole thread, from beggining to present. It would really be cool if there where a few more members, I can use all the support. http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=107571

Everyone just kinda ignored my post But yeah, My Original Computer crashed in December 2006, so Metropolis was blown out. Even though, I stopped Playing Sim City back in March 2006. Besides I work on 3D Cities now.
-
I finally reinstalled Sim City 4 Rush Hour on my new Comp. I couldnt, however reinstall my old Region, Palm Vista. So I'm Starting New. Currently I'm focusing on the main City - Oceanside. The Population is only about 20,000 or so Cheats Used - Super Money Park - SuperDemand (love this modd) I have basicly the southeastern part of the City Completed. Downtown should start soon. ((These pictures where photoshopped to make it look like its a nice fall evening)) The Start of the Eastern Part of Downtown, a nice cluster has formed. Lawrence Island, with the Two (so far unnamed) bridges connecting to the mainland. Another small cluster outside Downtown. Suburbs Closeup More Soon
-
wow I can belive this thread isnt dead! I'm still here but I havent played SimCity since April. I moved so I had a lot of freetime, now I have many friends and usually dont have time to play Sim City. I also got a new computer over the summer, so Metropolis is on my old computer. I've been consitering on hooking it up and putting the region on my new computer, but I lost my serial number for Rush Hour. I've been trying to send for a new one but I always forget
-
I really don't know, not much of the city left to develop Here are two pictures of new development to the west, but I was trying to get a wide city shot, then my computer froze, so these industires and houses don't exist anymore, but I'll rebuild. New Industries in the Northwest City Area A new neighborhood in the western part of the city.

Here are some more updates Lexworld Industries Expands East The Eastern part of Metropolis is growing rapidly, newer suburbs and industral parks are being constructed. Lexworld Industries (also part of Lexworld Enterprises, which has its World Headquarters in Downtown, if you forgot ) has just built a huge Industrial Park east of Downtown. Its very hightech and enviromentally friendly like everyother place in the city Lexworld also built a new luxurious middle to high class neighborhood next to the country club and under the industreal complex. Highrise Condos being built around Metropolis University CityHawk was right, Skyrise Deluxe Condos Towers did look wierd by itself, so I rezoned a few city blocks, and now a few other highrise condos are in the area. The views are incredible here. You can get a panoramic view of all of Downtown with no buildings blocking the view. Bryall Park Hotel Suites Opens Located next to Bryall Park (originally Metropolis Field) and the JC Summit Arena, Bryall Park Hotel Suites is a new highrise Hotel Tower with great views of Downtown and Bryall Park. The tower has over 1,000 suites and is about 60 floors high. It is loacated next to the tall spire topped Bryall Towers, once the tallest in metropolis, now squeezed between the Galviston Steel Tower and the Bryall Park Hotel suites. Koster International moves world headquarters to Metropolis The Moiniqe Financial Tower was renamed to the Koster International World Headquarters Tower, the golden tower has great views of North City and the suburbs, but a little too close for comfort to the Lexworld Enterprises Tower. Yet both towers look great at night. Here is a map of the City, not to Detailed, because I havent shown -Metropolis Park -Not much of Central City -Not much of West City Industrial Area -Not much of North City -And hardly any of the disirable South City, home to Galaxy Studios Here is a shot of the city from space, imagine in the future when suburban cities are surrounding Metropolis
-
Thanks! And, Whats a Water Mod? Anyways here are some new shots of new development The New East City Industral Center Expanding South City is expanding East torwards the Industral Center New Eastern Downtown Highrises And a bonus shot of the north city entrance to Metropolis The suburbs are growing, more industry is coming, more pictures coming soon.

lol, I'll put the hotels somewhere else, I'll also make a new entrance to the airport. Just a population update - pop 460,000
-
Originally posted by: Ded I'd say the airport needs some grass at both ends of the runway, so the planes don't smack into a bunch of tree's or some buildings...quote> lol, there is really no space to put grass, and the airport pack dosent have that texture of grass. As I promised, here is a picture of the region Pop 1.4 million Click for full size Regional Info Palm Vista Area Palm Vista was my first city in this region, you can find the old thread if you search under my name. Before Metropolis Palm Vista was the largest city in the region with around 220,000 people (not counting the surrounding cities) It was also the business hub of the region, with over 595,000 jobs. Palm Vista grew too much commercial too fast, so the suburbs took a long time to develop. East Palm Vista and other sister cities around Palm vista are nothing special just small cities part of Palm Vista. Palm Bay City & Palm Beach Palm Bay City is just a typical costal city over looking a huge bay. Palm Beach is also nothing special, just a costal city over looking the bay. Merdian Hill Meridian Hill or Meridian Hill heights is a medium sized city built on top of a hill. Meridian Hill is a very luxurious city with almost no industry. The city has a lot of Chicago and New York styled buildings. There are some large condominium towers on top of the hill with great views of Palm Vista. Glenmore & Monutian Ranch Fairly new small towns located near Palm Bay. Glenmore is more of a city than Mountian Ranch, Mountian Ranch is just a small suburban city while Glenmore has a few midrise towers. San Fernango Area The San Fernango Area includes three cities: San Fernango, Fernango Beach and the Riverdale Bridge. San Fernango is an LA area based city, with a nice sized downtown, the ouscirts are still under construction. Riverdale Bridge and Fernango Beach are just small cities in front of the river. Minami Bay Minami Bay is probably the largest beachside city (not metropolis like Palm Vista) Minami Bay is very upscale and has a large beach in front of Minami Bay. Downtown is rather large with a 1920's style, up to the north of the city is where you can see the newer highrise buildings. Wilson City Wilson City is another city I am working on, it replaced an old city called Santa Rita which was only 76 game years old and was badly planned and didnt look very nice. Wilson City is an High-tech industral city, with two highrise areas. Two major freeways meet here, where all the industry is. Wilson city is still a nice city even with the industry, I might show a picture soon. El Santiago El Santiago is another bayside city, with great views of Hernandez Bay. El Santiago is a very upscale city with planned $$$ communities. San Hernandez Area San Hernandez is an average city, probably the best place to live in the region if you want to start a family. Its Exciting, has good crime rates, no fires, and high education and health. There are plenty of things to do here. A small mountian range goes through the city. San Hernandez is a rather sucessful city, until I finished it. I built two smaller cities around it, Palmetto Hills and East San Hernadez. Palmetto Hills is an upscale city, while East San Hernandez is a middle class industreal city.

I redid the airport and saved some room for a hotel row. Suggestions please, I want to know if it looks better or worse. Are there any other hotels that would look good next to an airport on the STEX? At night, with the colorful palms entrance Here are some Nightime Closeups Enterprise Square and the Monique Financial Tower, I flipped the Lexworld Enterprises Tower around if you havent noticed from the older pictures. World Entertainment towers looking over the freeway. The World Entertainment Towers where just completed, they replaced an old park, a new park was built outside downtown. The Medrano Enterprises Center has just added an all suites hotel to the complex. The Medrano Enterprises Center is a four tower upscale office complex with a hotel tower. The location is great, it is in the middle of downtown and across the Street from the Convention Center. Here is a preview of the very northern part of Downtown. This is the skyline you see across the river when you land at Metropolis International.

Fabiocb - thanks oyd - thanks, yes super demand is very helpful, most of those skyscrapers wouldnt be there without super demand. sloppet - thanks salut221 - my region is still only like 40 to 50% developed, mabey even less, the regional population is around 1,200,000. I'll post a picture soon cityhawk - thanks Speaking of skyscraper forests, cityhawk, here is a first look of north city, that last picture was in Bryall Park, on the bottom of the picture you can see parts of North Downtown. North City is also where I got a few rare stage 8s like a Calane Communications, 3 Lind Entertainments, an Ong Condos, and a lot of other $$$ res highrises. Here is the first look, there is way more North City, which I will show later. North City at night Now I need SERIOUS advise, I just made a new airport, instead of using the normal international airport. This was all I could come up with, Now this is the only place it would fit in the city, what can I do to make it look more realalistic??

Bryall Park Hotel Towers opening soon....

The shoreline and the suburbs look great as well, and I also like how you are using the ingame transportation options (meaning no NAM)to make this CJ look so good. Awesome job! And with that note... My 200th post!!!!!!! quote> Oh no, I have NAM, I just dont overuse it...look at the freeways in Downtown, there are Road Bridges over it, plus I use those huge intersections. Update - Pop 401,000!!! More pictures soon
