SHADDOW09: That interchange is already in the NAM. Look under the Custom Interchanges button under the Transportation > Highways menu.

Thorvin - thanks very much for all the hard work!

Tropod - Welcome back! I remember seeing you were back for the first time. I did a double take! This is a very interesting find you've got here. Nice work!

Thorvin - that's amazing work! Here's a little something for you: I do have one question, however. Is this mod separate from the European Road Textures mod, or can I use this mod as a stand-alone? You see, I'm an American who likes the idea of asphalt highways. (Seeing as that's about all I have around here, I barely see any concrete.)

1dera3: That may be the problem. I believe you need the latest version of the NAM. -
GoaSkin / Teirusu / ardecila: Y'all have me drooling over here. Those look great so far! GoaSkin - were you planning on releasing those 1-lane 1-way roads for now, and integrating them into the NAM later?

GST - I'm sorry to hear about all the insanity. I'm not an expert on SC4Path files; nor do I know much about them. However - I do have an idea: Maybe Quirlix can help. He put together the cul-de-sac mod. Maybe he'd be willing to help. Want me to PM him for you if he doesn't see this thread?

OK, thanks for clearing that up, gst. I'll get that new beta release today and report back. Quick question - remove the 2nd beta? -
Turning Lanes - Feedback and Testing
Ryan B replied to the7trumpets's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
I'm reporting the same exact thing: The NAM is working with this latest release. I don't want to be too hasty, but - Congratulations on getting the NAM and the AVTL to coexist! On the testing front: No problems for me whatsoever. The only issues I have are with the textures (how they look), and if I learn how to edit the textures properly, I may do some of my own. -

A beta release? Sweet! Good thing I've got nothing going on tonight, so that I may test it and report back! -
Your computer crashes, sending all your music into oblivion. WTWTTCH while playing SC4?

A few months ago, I had an idea to make a mod that would make the street signs mount on top of the stop signs, which would look something like this: https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//sign.jpg width=496 align=baseline>(Photo courtesy of the Texas HighwayMan Pages) In SC4, the street signs are mounted on opposite corners, not on top of the stop signs. I feel that this occurence in SC4 gives the game a more rural feel, since in every major urban area I've seen, the street signs are mounted on top of the stop signs in the above fashion. Mounting the street signs in this fashion can be done in the Lot Editor. Place a street sign prop in the exact same place as a stop sign prop, and there you go! On 1/3/2005, I uploaded a lot that contained this concept (STEX: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?mode=files&filetype=Lot&Str=spacesaver%20stop%20sign%20assembly ). I wonder, could this be made into a mod for all street / (road, avenue, street, 1-way road) intersections? I understand it would possibly involve working with type 21 exemplars. (Then again, I don't know much about modding, so I could be wrong.) If anyone would like to give this a shot, it'd be a very interesting project to take on.

Swamper - those look great! Nice work.

Quick update: I've been in contact w/ Swamper. In a short time, he'll give me some screens of the new mod in action, in both the blue and green colors. I'll post the screens here, and the thread will be open to questions / comments.

GoaSkin: I didn't know that. That's a good tip!

You nuked a soccer stadium? That's strange . . . . but all the power to ya! Looks good so far. I'm keeping an eye on this one for any more nukings.

I'm looking for a mod that turns the avenue traffic signals from the vertical orientation (up and down) to the horizontal orientation (left-right). Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks! EDIT: I found the mod a couple pages back. Now I need to know how to edit the textures so that the signals are oriented the right way (red-yellow-green) as opposed to the Japanese way (green-yellow-red). -
Just a quick update here from Mr. SC4 Transportation Aesthetics Man: It seems that Swamper's been, well, swamped. He's helping out w/ the traffic signals for the ATL, working with the NAM, and a host of other things. Either Swamper or myself will let everyone know when more progress has been made.

Anybody want a Civic Construction Mod?
Ryan B replied to Shadow Assassin's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
All right - I've got a bit of a list going here that entails all the civic buildings that would be constructed: All police stations (kiosk, small, large, deluxe) All fire stations (small, large, landing strip) All hospitals (small, large) All schools (small elem., large elem., small hs, large hs, college, library) Have I left anything out? If so, please say something! -

I could use a mod like that. I find that sort of thing would make the game more realistic. -
The on-slope puzzle pieces are in the respective buttons. For example: Road On-Slope Puzzle Pieces are in the Road Puzzle Pieces button - just hit TAB a few times until you get around to them.

No, I believe this is the first time I've posted my picture here.

First and foremost, nice to see a post from you again, T7T! Secondly, I agree with everything you've said. I look forward to the expanded highways (6-10 lanes) and the interchanges that will go with them, and the general addition of new interchanges. Here's to getting some work done! (Just don't forget to rationalize your time, or you'll be gone again!)

Yeah, this is me after the New York State Academic Decathlon tournament in Sanborn, NY on March 4, 2005. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Burgess.JPG align=baseline> Ugly, aren't I? LOL
