Hello Simcity community, I started playing Simcity 4 again and noticed a ''bug'' I think is really annoying. Even though my commute time is really low and there is a high demend for all wealth classes I get abandonnement issues saying commuting time is too long. My city population is 60'000, I have put a good bus system and no road shows congestion. The average commute time is 20mins. I also have network Addon mod installed. I'm sure there is a solution somewhere but can't find a mod or a topic that discuss this. Does anyone know a solution or a good way to prevent this? Thanks

Great city, but you know what Tadoussac means right?

I don't want to insult anyone but personally I hate those cities where they just didn't took five seconds to think about how to call it. ex: New... Port... ....Land ...hill I think the only acceptable one is ...burg. I like to think about mine. I've got one I called Praline, or an other named Dinrix. I know its hard to find a good one and I get the port... and stuff but not so original. enyways I feel quite arrogant to say that but I've held that in for quite a while.

We shouldn't choose the Capital of the world on an existing country or city. We should find a huge island away from the influence of businessman only trying to put money in their pockets. If the world Capital is in a wealthy city what does it change. The capital should be a vigin island in the Atlantic were we would build a huge temple like building were there would be the world senate and all around there would be the gouvernment building a bit like in Star wars.

In 2050. The world will be a total different place. The world population is aproching the 10B. Everything is going bad nations are overcrowded and every year we will see the genoside of thousands of people. the world power as swich to Asia. 40% of the planet is Asian and the low birth rate of caucasean people have almost exterminate the race. North-America is in an economic depression and falling back technologically. Asia is buying 70% of the world food production to satisfy their needs. Every year the sea level rise 2 feet million of refugies try to evacuate europe and North Americans are fleeing to the high lands. countries are surrounded by digs to stop the sea waters from coming in. But useless many great cities like New York, Tokyo, Bejing have seen their digs become to high to big and collapse killing millions of innocent victims. There are hurricanes all year long and the Carabeans have been evacuated those who stayed were killed by the incredible force of hurricane. Some regions live intense drough other intense floods. The boreal forest have burn or has been bombed during WWIII and the Amazon have been cut down during the economic boom of 2020. Oxygen is rare in the atmosphere and researchers are developing respiratory system for when people go outdoors. The average density per citizen in most countries is 1,000 and main cities is 20,000. The United-states have Bankruped and sold 40% of its territory to China to pay back its dept. There is still oil for at least 20 years. but anyway this is what they said 50 years and people are still driving cars to work. 80% of the cars are korean and the American and Japanese car industry have crashed 10 years prior at the beggining of the depression. Ok so this is the dark side and I don't feel like making a good side so I'm gonna let you on that

Paris is quite well planed for a city, but you know for a city with a metro area of nearly 14m I gest traffic there must be traffic

I would keep the mountain and make it become a park. Mountains in a city used space but make your city look great. I had a Huge Mountain right beside my downtown It was chooking my city as it grew but when I decided to make parks with it my CO$$$ went up and the landvalue too. I passed highways under it and make a road go to the top and on it I build a washinton monument. Make something of it.

Quebec city in Canada is bad. Every rush hour it is clogged like hell.

It would be hard to choose a Capital of the world in all those cities because they are all archored cities in other countries. I believe that if one day the world would choose a capital city, they would Have to make a complitly new city where there would be no culture, or just a bunch of them that makes place for an other. New York isn't good just because it is where the UN HQ is, it was placed there because it seeed to be the savest placed to be build because of what was going on in Europe. But in all those cities I think Toronto would be the best because of the low crime there is and well I'm Canadian so.

I've lived in more than 30 cities around the world and my favorite is the Montreal Subway system. I can go from the apt. where I live to my school without leaving the underground. It is huge and totally underground. And the best is that its really social and lets light come in.
