I think that the reason why no one has contributed is because either no one knows why this is, or they have other things to do. In my several years of lurking around SimTropolis, I have never heard of such a bizarre problem. It may be that you will have to re-install your copy of the game.

I'm pretty sure that if it's the moon, then it would be either higher in the sky, or the sun would have not yet set. In the summer, the sun sets after 8-9pm in most temperate and tropical latitudes. I have a video of the moon in the sky during a sunset where the moon is about the same angle as the strange object in the video. I'm pretty sure if you have a bad reputation, then you wouldn't pull a prank on this forum. It makes absolutely no sense. I agree with Patricius Maximus, where you really cant prove these things, but you really should not dismiss them as automatically being a hoax. Im not trying to flame tempers or start a flame war, but I really think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and Im starting to think people are borderline insulting kellydale2003.

To get larger commercial buildings, you have to zone for "High Density Commercial". You can check what density your zones are in the Data View charts.

Come on! I think that you should at least get comments first before dismissing one of your buildings as "ugly", especially because R$ pencil towers are supposed to be ugly.

Also, the rail does not need to be a loop because the rail is two way, and it is assumed that the trail can turn around at the end of the track (never mind how).

There is no way to determine what stage your city is in, but the size of the buildings can give you a general idea.

You can "zone" residential, but for fine details, it's better off plopping. A residential "zone" that has not been developed looks like a construction zone. You can plop or zone, but you cannot decide who lives there. It's complicated.
