  1. Earliest SimCity Series Memory...

My first experience with Sim City was Sim City 2000 on the Mac when I was visiting my Uncle in Chicago (a couple years before Sim City 3000 came out). I had already been somewhat interested in city planning, but when I found out about Sim City it was like one of those moments in the movies where you see the pearly gates and a choir is singing in the background, only it was the monitor that was glowing and I imagined the choir. I bought Sim City 2000 for the PS1 when I got back home.
  2. Please show us your water front property.

This is Drake Island, population 8,200. Its in a rather remote part of my region. Full Size Image Link: img175.imageshack.us/img175/2238/drakeislandapr290712675.png
  3. Show us your Region!

Here is the same region with the city and mayor names for some laughs and giggles.
  4. Show us your Region!

Its a work in progress, and the transportation network is a bit off. Just got my first stage 8 (I think) comercial building McClellan Inc. Pop 1,410,967.
  5. Show us your Downtown!

Its one of my smaller cities, but I like the way the CBD developed in this one.
  6. Show us your City's Details/Close-ups!

Here are a few closeups of some of my cities:
  7. Your Regions and their Population

    I have 2 regions that I'm playing currently: Jersey: 1,124,917 Largest City: 326,246 Fairview: 531, 910 Largest City: 172,503
  8. Does anyone here know if its possible to store your region folders on a drive on the hard disk other than the system drive (usually known as the C drive), and have the game load them from there? I'm somewhat curious because I'm running out of space on my C drive, and it would be nice to save a couple hundred megabytes on my system drive. It seems to always default to My Documents/Sim City 4/Regions, without any choice in the matter.
  9. I had one on a medium tile with 450,000 people, which was the largest city I've ever had until it got deleted due to some bugs. I have one now on a large tile with 325,000.
  10. Show us your Downtown!

    CBD at dusk.
  11. Show us your Small Islands!

I don't use a lot of mods, so its probably not as impressive as the others in this thread.
  12. Show us your Skyscraper Districts!

Heres mine. I currently don't use any mods, or add-ons. I used to have some larger cities, but I lost them due to a virus some time ago, and then again to file corruption due to using some mods, which is probably why I'm afraid of using the NAM. Residential Pop: 130,000 Commercial Pop: 55,000 Industrial Pop: 9,900
  13. It would seem for now that the Sim City series is doomed. Its too bad because it didn't have to happen this way. EA games seems to be more interested in making Sim City more like The Sims, then expanding on Sim City 4.
  14. I like Gothic architecture. My university has some buildings built with Gothic architecture, and I find them to be really interesting.
  15. Best Skyline?

I think their of Vancouver, Canada.
  16. Best Skyline?

It may not be the best, but my favorite skyline is Cleveland, Ohio (United States). Veiw from Lake Erie I like how they light the Terminal Tower up like a Christmas Tree During the Holidays. A little south of Downtown at night.
  17. Population

455,000 on a medium size map is my most populated city, and by far my most dense. My most populated region is the same region with 1.4 million.
  18. Sandusky Ohio

Just out of curiosity, is the marblehead/Port Clinton area in there also?
  19. Digby - East Coast Region

Hmmm......can't figure out what he's getting at. Are those houses B.A.T. structures possibly?
  20. Cleveland Ohio

Wow; I'v lived in Euclid, Willoughby, and Madison and I'v been looking for a map of the Cleveland area for a longe time. How far east and west of Cleveland does it go?
