    Thank you all for your comments and suggestions! Since there are a lot of comments referring to scale and proportions, i'll try to give a general explanation about this style of houses, although matias93 and jzeltman already gave some description. This kind of houses were very common in the Iberian Peninsula and the Latin-American countries during the 19th and early 20th century . Of course there are some differences between countries or regions, but the general structure is the same, and is still used. Outside this area is very difficult to find something similar to them, but there are comparable buildings in Greece and New Orleans. The main characteristics of these houses are narrow and deep lots, overdone façades, and really high ceilings. The average height in my home town is 4,5 meters (14.75 feet), and it's what I took as reference, but it could reach 5 or 5,5 meters, especially in Cuba. In cooler climates or taller buildings it never went down from 3,5 meters. Buildings could look even taller, because interior floors were normally raised from the street level for privacy or flood prevention (very common in some parts of Spain), and in some cases there was enough space to host a shop. Main doors were impressive, due to the sum of both heights, and stairs were located directly after the entrance. I can change it if it's an eyesore for you, but it was very common. (And I like how it looks) I changed the brick texture and now the 1x4 house has 460 tris and the 1x3 house has 300 tris. Let me know what you think (about the floor height too). I also made a roof window as prop (I think the façades should look a bit darker, I forgot to darken this version) @jzeltman I was going to make this buildings with flat roofs (just like in my home town or Buenos Aires), but then I thought about poly count and the view from above, and tiled roofs look normally better than flat roofs, need less polys (if the rooftop is practicable it needs walls and other elements) and are easier to model and texure... @Darf I already had a staircase in the basement for slopes, were you thinking of something like this (bottom left), or were you referring to something like three steps out of the façade to be seen in all situations?

I've recently started modelling for Cities Skylines and, as it's the first time I have to deal with low poly models, normal maps, specular maps, colour maps, etc. I've decided to create a new topic to show the assets and try to get some advice in order to improve my models. I haven't uploaded anything yet, because I'm not sure if I've got a good balance between tris and texture. My models are CS versions of models I previously made for SC4 and they are relatively small. They're inspired by small residential buildings of Spain and other Spanish speaking countries built before WWI. I've done one and a half building so far. Both are very similar, so I can't say they're two different buildings. The first model fits into a 1x4 lot, the other into a 1x3 lot. Buildings at sunrise: 1x4 Building: 451 triangles, Texture 1024x512 1x3 Building (the one without backyard): 294 triangles, Texture 1024x512 I hope you like them. Any help or advice will be welcomed!
