  1. Downtown High School

My school won't display correctly in updated patch SimCity 4. It's basically missing the 4 sides, and only the basketball court is displaying "in the air" :D. I'm re-downloading to hopefully correct the problem.

  3. Simple question

I would assume it's because they don't want to. Either you don't have enough work in the city to support them yet, so they haven't moved, or they just don't plain like your city J/K., be patient, they'll move in as the work arrives. If you have the wrong kind of work (using high density industry, or high density commercial), they may not be qualified for, or want those jobs. I'd just start with Low Resident, Low Commercial, Low Industry. It'll grow, you'll see. By the way, I have a big city, but still use Low Res 1X1 plots. I really like the look of them, and make cool little suburb neighbourhoods and stuff
  4. Commute Times are killing me

Sims have always had a 'commute-time' problem. I remember being frustrated in The Sims, cause my character would always take about 5 game-time mins to walk from the computer in his living room to the bathroom. Or he'd brush his teeth for 15 game minutes, and miss the guy who he was carpooling with, and miss work. Again, like Sim City 4, the time scale was way off. Perhaps this is where the problem lies, the coding for the passing of time is not realistic, or was adjusted originally for other events in the simulation to run properly...
