  5. I would keep the current map and what you already have, just implement the new stuff on new tiles. If you look at some big cities, they have new and old highways mixed with outdated specs for the old highway and new and updated specs for the new highway. That is my two cents worth, plus why get rid of something you worked hard at. Do what you feel comfortable while gradually implement new ideas and ways. Good luck no matter what. JKB
  6. Welcome back packersfan. It would be awesome to read your cj entries again. District of Wenzel is one of my favorite cj to read and to keep track. Maybe you should take a look at my cj (Region of Salem) as I took a little to some aspects of D of W and converted them to my liking and see if you like it or not. I look forward to your updates when they come and good luck balancing work with play. JKB

Haljackey, I usually take pride in my road and highway setups, but that airport is an accomplishment and a feat in itself. It took me about couple of hours to build. Boom box gamer, thank you. I live in America and I take clues from Google Earth and my travels. Plus, I usually go with my gut and my mind on how things should go together. Hester (again), well said my friend, well said. I tend to go with the flow. The towns and cities I build, tend to be somewhat repetitive but with some twists in the theme, just like in real life. 23. Region of Salem

To my loyal readers, I have hit a very small RL and with the next update. Next update will come Monday when the RL ends. I will be changing the update from a nature theme to a city/ town theme with a little nature mixed in. We will be visiting the City of Hancock Pass and area. Now for replies: mayorbk= I like grids, but I hate to repeat over and over again so I tend to try to break it up. Ln X= I am not excluding and industrials and farms. Some small towns in the mountains tend to have very little room for farms and/ or industrials. For forestry industry, the law for the Region of Salem requires the forestry industry to have a little impact of the environment. Otherwise, keep the environment the way it is for the future generations of sims. Personally, I in real life, forestry is okay. Thank you no matter what. Hester= Thanks for the comment on the slogan. I got the idea from hearing slogans for tourism ads on tv for Minnesota, South Dakota, Michigan, Illinois and of course Wisconsin. I thought of trying one out to see how it works out and I think that it works. Until Monday, enjoy your visit to Region of Salem where "Wide Open Spaces, Beautiful Landscapes, and Friendly People Await You At Region of Salem". JKB
  24. Region of Salem

I would like to hear everyone's opinion on a slogan I just came up with. Here is the slogan: " Wide Open Spaces, Beautiful Scenery, And Friendly People Await You At Region Of Salem. " Now for a quick reply: Schriefer: Both towns are currently raising money to start a tree planting program along the shoreline to make it more pleasing and beautiful. Be sure to bring your hiking boots and hiking stick and sunglasses and a camera with extra film with you for the next update. Until then see you later. JKB
