yes thats a huge unzoned land this is an "old" pic of the city, (still very young and developed at this stage, but, unfortunately, was heavily damaged by bombings during WWII) here, a pic of the emerging Central Business District in total ruins

  7. Show us your Skyscraper Districts!

im trying to limit the number of my duplicate buildings, is there any way to stop a certain bat from growing? say i grow too many building Xs, can i delete a file or something to stop it from growing without giving me a brown box? another question (sorry if off topic) if i enable the water and power conservation ordinance, do i get negative effects? (like business slowing down cause they have to use less power?) my power plants are killing me
  8. i second that.. all i wish for SC5 would be for more depth and more city planning options
  9. Show us your airport!

thanks for your contributions here on stex xiziz yeah its kinda weird having the two airport packs but having the old control tower in it (which doesnt have the same architectural character as the two packs )

what building is this white and black skyscraper? nice image btw
  11. Show us your airport!

how do you get the airport to work w/o the control tower? (i mean the one that came with the other pack..see my airport control tower )
  12. Show us your Skyscraper Districts!

there are distressed parisian buildings there, yeah they easily get distressed... i forgot to tell you that more than half of these parisian buildings are plopped landmarks im thinking of making a CJ for this one where ill explain the concept of this city and another thing, for the high rise towers, (if you notice there arent many duplicate buildings) for every duplicate building that rises, i demolish it, and plop a different CO$$ or CO$$$ (depending on the type of office tower that grew) on site clever cheat?

Clarkstown's Central Business District Clarkstown CBD and the old city center
  14. Show us your airport!

lols imagine an international airport with only 1558meters of runway anyway, if i were to base the runway length on diff scales, id have (118 tiles) SC4 = 1888m Blahdy's = 5664m xiziz = 3776m Nanumea = 2832 in my case, the last one would be most reasonable ..so im going to expand the runways a little to reach 3000m
  15. Show us your airport!

@ xiziz thanks, ok ill PM you my email i actually downoaded the swap pack v2.3, however, on the readme, it says that i have to delete joergs files..what are joergs files?
  16. Show us your airport!

im referring to this blue roofed building kaibigan saan ba ito maddownload? BTW, off topic here if you are a pinoy living overseas, maybe youd be interested in joining the community @ http://skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=295...you can keep yourself updated on the lastest developents and news in pinas yep the skyscrapermachine is pinoy, si rizal pa nga ang avatar niya.. so how many tiles does it need for a 3000m runway based on nanumea's calculations? my calculation result is about 140 tiles..is that correct? anyway howd you come up with the figures? and what should i place after the blast pad? there are many options there and they taje up a lot of space, itd be cool though if we can extend these navigation lights to the sea without having to terraform land and yeah, will the sequenced lights do? its the least space demanding light nav aid available @pilotdaryl, you say you live near BC?thats near Vancouver right? my dad lives in calgary
  17. Show us your airport!

@pilotdaryl..yep dusktrooper is pinoy, didnt you know that? look at his avatar, thats Jose Rizal there another guy, deever, is pinoy re: the infinitum19, i havent encounterd him yet marunong kang mag p[ilipino? saan ang roots mo? @nanumea, what do you mean you divide the rwy length by 2? so in your calculation, how many tiles such a 3000m runway be? AFAIK, its the standard to allow jumbo jets and re: european regulations, why dont i meet them? but anyways, so my 1800m runway should be how long then? coz i based it on the actual 1tile = 16m assumption anyway, please take a look at this terminal that i found in the previous pages http://home.hetnet.nl/~jorritvandommelen/sc4rhpic1.jpg where can i download the blue-roofed curved building and the square building with a blue lining? can you suggest other modular packs?
  18. Show us your airport!

well, its hard to make a realistic 3000+ m runway with such small lots in SC4 lols such runway would take up an entire large tile length (runway plus misc systems ) so eayh, for this, i only "pretend" that this runway meets international standards
  19. Show us your airport!

hey Kabayan!!! so far ive met three kababayans here (including dukstrooper) Whats wrong with the numbers? lols i just put them there not minding what it meant, and yeah i know i lack precision marks, i pput the sequenced lights instead (saves me space) and by the way, at the 1 tile=16m scale of SC4, this runway is still unrealistic (its only 1800m..lols) Anyway, do you live here in pinas or are you overseas.?.. sana may Davao International Airport or NAIA TII/TIII bat dito no? hehe

  22. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Lisbon, Portugual.

RIO is one of the most picturesque large cities in the world!
  23. Everything turns red

more importantly, did you properly UN install the ATI drivers before you installed the nVIDIA drivers?
  24. id love for SC% to feature the ff: 1. Larger cities (the present 4kmx 4km tile is too small for a city with skyscrapers) they should make it at least 8km x 8km or if possible, 16km x 16km, that way we can have our downtown and suburbs in one city 2. this may sound a little off, but what if instead of tiles, we are able to create city boundaries? say on a region, we create areas of influence per city (cities dont have square boundaries after all 3. Diagonal zones and roads! ate least 45deg zoning or if possible, in 30 degee increments, and on a more wishful thinking scale, curves.. i think a 45degree zone isnt that hard considereing the other game "citylife" has diagonal zones 4. more proportionate scales (the 16mx16m scale set here in simtropolis is a good basis) so its be good if maxis scaled their buildings and roads..and that airport too (lols just realized that the default airport in SC4 cannot handle large planes if we are to follow the SImtropolis scale) 5. have ploppable residential buildings (since cities do porvide housing projects, why cant we in SC5 right?) 6. the option to have integrated water pipes and underground utlities to go with road laying, and while we are on road laying topic, wider avenues would be good as well, the 4 lane avenue is too small as most cities have 4-6 lane roads and up to 8 lane avenues 6. LAstly, and IMHO a very important one..instead of just Low, med, high density zoning, itd be nice if we can set the price/tile of a specific land/zone? that way, we can dictate who gets to live there, say i want an all R$$$ village/district, i simply value the land at a certain price tag so as only those who can afford the live on that zone gets to build their house there, same goes for CS, CO and industires plus, to add to the realism, why not make construction time of buildigs longer? (that means n more instant plops too) if say i plop (or grow) a huge skyscraper like taipei 101, then itd take me a year or two before the building get finished, same goes for roads, seaports, airports, bus stops, parks etc
  25. Show Us Your Suburbs

if i want to start a CJ, should i start a region from scratch or is it ok to have one with an established, but still developing region?
