OHIO over Georgetown... 8 hours...

Just came back to SC4 after a little time away... I remember downloading the original beta version of this back in the day! New version looks great. Anyway, I had one problem downloading it. The ground version is showing pillars for the elevated version over the top of the ground tracks. Anyone know what happened?? Edit: Whoops, guess I should've read the last few pages first.

This game is definitely looking like a buy for me! Soo many features I was looking for in SC5 (I didn't buy SCS). The biggest being user designation of lanes! The grid/open combo will allow for the building of downtowns, while also a vivid country side... And it is 3D! Everything is looks more than up to par......... I'm pumped! Any news on a specific release date?

I switched from playing SC4 from my desktop to my labtop awhile back....... I had to reinstall SC4 on my labtop, and I deleted my plugin folder because I was having conflicts already.... I would just go through and download stuff again, except STEX has been really slow for me lately, actually not really working at all..... I realised I have my plugins folder still on my desktop, so I was just going to copy my whole folder over... In most cases I don't think this will be a problem... I'm curious though if the lots that need installing (you know, agree to terms, hit next a bunch , pick a destination) need to be re-installed. Anyone know? I'm hoping I could just copy the installation results onto my labtop.

I thought it was just me...... I've had problems with this as well as the ones on SC4 Devotion and Simpeg....... Wish I would've known this before I deleted my whole plugins folder because of glitches... Would've picked some stuff out... Now I am basically playing vanilla... Thank god I at least have Pegs port stuff. Can work on that for now!

Cleveland, while it still has a long way to go, is headed somewhere better then it is now through major investment $'s in the city in projects like the Euclid Corridor Project, Avenue District, Flats (East AND West Bank), and the Warehouse District. If the corrupt Democrats could ever be unseated from the local government, and the lakefront could be opened up from such stupid uses (seaport hardly in use, minor airport, stadium, and R&R HOF) Cleveland would be sitting pretty... Led of course by the boom that is the healthcare industry...

Now, obviously this is a decent sized city, with skyscrapers and such... And yet, it has NO mass-transit. The people of Strucoe have depended on their cars forever, but as the population continues to boom, and the echo's of sims frustrated voices growing loud in the mayors ears, the decision to build a mass-transit system was made. From the Strucoe Journal "Mayor Sparrow's much anticipated came today regarding the Strucoe Transit Authority's hub. After considering a few locations, the mayor and his advisors have agreed upon placing the hub at the current site of Parkside Elementary, and South Hamilton Park..." Parkside Elementary and South Hamilton Park... The Hub will be placed on the south end of the lot. The school will be re-located. A zoomed out shot of the area... For any with good eyes, you will notice that the spot of the new hub is a few blocks south from the teaser shot. Can tell by a few of the larger buildings... Thats all for now! Enjoy!

I got a new computer! (Dell XPS FTW!) But I am having one big problem on downloading my SC4 stuff again (I know I could just copy my old plugins folder, but its a mess so I am just restarting) Anyway, my problem is canals... Is there more then one canal that you can download? I looked on STEX as well as SC4D and the plex and it seems like there is more then one canal out there... Also there are a lot of releases going out with these canals (bridges ext.) So which canal system is the commonly used one?? Link? Thanks!

I think the biggest reason for this migration is the jobs available in the South combined with large losses of jobs available elsewhere... The Midwest has lost what once made it what it was in manufactoring, this leaving large numbers of people needing work. I don't think it really has to do so much with people liking living in the South better then anywhere else. Most people I talk to who move do it to find work. The trend may already be shifting though, the Midwest has started to adapt to new types of labor. Where I live, Cleveland, the shift has been made from manufactoring to healthcare. It is starting to look like it might be making a citywide turnaround. We went through awhile where we just lost buisiness after buisiness... Now though, a new focus has developed for the city in healthcare, and companies in that field are actually moving from around the nation to Cleveland for that reason... Region economics really is an interesting thing... Some experts are saying that droughts in the South and Southwest US may also cause people to move trowards the Pacific Northwest and Great Lakes where water is plentifull... Again very interesting!

Because the goal of this CJ after all is to let the region grow! cleaner475-Thanks, you were correct, it is just under 500,000 right now and the demand is really starting to go crazy... I really think the maxis houses are underrated, this 1x1 lots look especially nice IMO... Probably my favorite "Maxis" part of the game... jacqulina-Thank you! I work especially hard planning the roads, it seems to be paying off with some pretty low commute times... Thanks to everyone who has commented so far. Hopefully another update tonight... Midtown of Strucoe has grown a lot more.... Skyline is really pushing to the south... Maybe one day Midtown and Downtown will be one in the same?!
