Entry 12 - Walking With the Cims
Norsefire commented on Linoa06's City Journal Entry in Skylines of Cathnoquey
Thank you so much for pouring open your creativity and ingenuity into a compelling and imaginative CJ like Amesbury! I have been following CJs across various city-building games for years, and have rarely come across one as thorough, exciting, and story-driven as yours. Combing through your entires (multiple times) has definitely given me ideas on my own region's growth and design. I am a BIG fan of maps, especially transit maps. They add realism and look amazing! I discovered Amesbury only recently, and wait with bated breathe on the next entry. I would love to see more road and transit maps, as always! Keep up the good work! PS - I love the Skyrim references, Lv55 Wood Elf here -

This looks like a great CJ. You mix the European metropolitan life with the rural farming communities that dot countrysides. Can't wait for more!

Trying to keep this CJ alive. I hope some newcomers get to appreciate it.

Lest we forget...

Are you looking for STEX stuff for Southland Mall (Cutler Ridge Mall)? Cannot wait to see the agriculture west of SW 192 Ave. Your attention to detail is amazing. Question: Are you putting the schools where they are in real life, or where there are appropiate for their education radius? The same goes for police/fire stations, hospitals, etc. The roads look great, and I can't wait to see the sprawl into the farms off of SW 184 ST (Eureka) and west of the Turnpike, like SW 137 Ave and Naranja Road. Looking foward to this CJ, and you'll see many comments from me, since I love my county, Miami-Dade.

I remember the first attempt at Miami-Dade, and was I disappointed when the pictures suddenly disappeared. I await the coming of this county. I remember in your first attempt, you attention to detail, even the highway on/off ramps, particularly the Coral Way and 826 exit. I was very impressed. I live in the Kendall area, right off SW 88th Street, and SR-874, so you know I will be commenting on this CJ with great frequency. I hope to see Miami-Dade come to full fruition. Please, do us Justice.

Moving onto more realistic, and tongue-friendly names... Here are some names that I use - singularly and in combination - from small areas between London and Cambrigeshire: . Girton . Impington . Histon . Grantchester . Teversham . Bottingsham . Swaffham Prior . Burwell . Fordham . Shelford . Harston . Hauxton . Barton . Comberton . Fen Ditton . Sawston . Duxford . Whittlesford . Hinxton . Chesterfield . Saffron Walden . Debden . Bishop's Stortford . Birchanger . High Wych . Pardon . Waltham Abbey . Sudbury . Steveage . Burberry Heath Upon Mathers in Cove Some names of counties in England: . East Riding of Yorkshire . Blackburn with Darwen . Stoke-on-Trent . Brighton & Hove . Stockton-on-Tees These are real names. Use Google Earth; there are an infinite number of small and unique places, one just needs to know where to look. When one is looking for something more...colorful, then use this list of not-so-known colors: . Bistre . Buff . Cardinal . Carmine . Cerise . Chartreuse . Dodger . Flaxfield . Fern . Gamboge . Goldenrod . Jade . Mauve . Moutbatten . Ochre . Puce . Russet . Saffron . Scarlet . Sepia . Taupe . Tenn

Well actually, most of the buildings have to conform to strict hurricane codes. The newer buildings (which is most of them), have hurricane resistant windows, and some even have automatic shutters. And besides, a strong hurricane hasn't hit Miami's center since 1926. -
Hoping to keep this CJ alive. Hopefully a new person sees this, and can appreciate its greatness.
