Summerville (20 Slides)

Today we visit one of the fast expanding cities in the Paengia region. After building a few tourist attractions, the city has quickly grown and houses almost 50.000 sims... Here is an overview of the heart of the city, developed along the river banks... Let's have a look at some of the key developments, like this large middle income housing project... A modest CBD with some midrises and even some starting highrise dev... Central district with City Hall, Hospital and Agricultural College... One of the low...

Satisfaction (17 Slides)

Tonight let's just take a leasurely stroll around one of the medium cities of the Mountainview region... Satisfaction. This small citiy of about 6000 is well set with a small range of industries, mainly foodprocessing and some hitech labs and small commercial ventures. These folks are highly satisfied with their lives and love nothing more than their well-tended homes and gardens. Unlike the neighbouring cities they don't encourage masses of tourists to blitz their community... See ya around... ;-))

With a last longing view over sugarcane and rum distilleries... we arrive at a small but busy city... traffic and housing immediately get more dense... so we decide to ride the watertaxi into town... a good decision, as we are able to leisurely take in some sights... on the next page :-)

Low and medium income housing mixes well... a small campus with ample boardinghouses... modern and old style architecture mix with quaint little parks... the hospital's style fits in well... cozy family compounds... a beautiful old church... the mayor's posh villa... but also the first rundown housing complex typical for urban development... right into the middle of the business district... with its company headquarters, boutiques and shopping malls... surrounded by densely populated residential areas......

A large freightstation leads into the industrial compound... the coking plant's workers are also regulars at the football stadium... a system of deep trenches collects dirty waters from all the manufacturers... huge efforts are taken to turn the dirty water back into clean water... this entices lots of clean hitech-firms into the city, settling side by side with high wealth commercial companies... turning the whole area into an industrial park... with high level security... a high capacity combined freight...

The Waterbridge leads us into a small valley with more industrials... lots of small barges use the waterway... a whole river is harnessed and its water distributed... over varying terrainheights, up to 30 meters difference... factories are supplied with water and connected by barge traffic... government agencies keep tight control... ensuring cleanliness and security around the expensive waterway... as well as a steady supply of clean drinking water to nearby cities... Though we're looking forward to drink...

After spending the night in a reasonably priced pension house, we start out to explore the city... this looks like a rather quiet middle income neighborhood... strolling along the canals... reaching some old-style housing project... with cheap looking officeblocks and shopping malls... now this must be the old heart of the city, where everything started. Well worn, with lots of friendly people around... woah - they take their recycling serious! now these look like real 60ish housing projects... check out...
