A terrain mod is a mod that changes the color and texture of the terrain. the default maxis terrain isn't really suitable for a tropical environment. but, nice update this time.

As someone who has his own tropical journal, I would very strongly recommend to you the Yucatán Terrain Mod by Heblem. It's a nice, deep green that looks very nice anywhere it's hot or humid, but changes with elevation to a lighter, more yellowish green. I would also download the Hawaiian Holiday water mod by Pegasus or the Rivit Costal Modd if you want nice water or beaches.

Whatever you do, the readme is CRUCIAL in water and terrain mods, if you don't take a peek at it, you could be facing some issues with your game...

Also some R$$$ custom houses would make that island much more appealing.

I don't know where to start....

This needs ALOT of improvements as the rating show.  I'm not trying to be harsh, but being honest.  You're going to need to download mods, and (insert swear adjective) loads of custom content.  Look at other CJs that have 20+ entries and has a rating over 4.00.  See how all of them incorpated custom content and used it effectively.  Also, look at people that did get a nomination from this years trixies, those are the people you see look at.  They have awesome CJs and I enjoy reading them!  If this is a Parside Island as the title implies, k50dude brings a good point.  Additionally, you need more BATs, and depending on the location of this island.  Match the building style with the region (like Italy having Med. styled buildings.)  so it looks more realistic.  You also need to take the time to make your cities, it looks rushed no offense.

In conclusion, if you want a good CJ.  I suggest download about .80 GB of plugins.  Yes, this may seem alot, but it's worth it.

I hope to see this CJ improve overtime!

I would normally put this on another page, but I need to reply to clear up some things:
I would also download the Hawaiian Holiday water mod by Pegasus

I am using that. I guess I just you din't look on the previous page(Where there is a photo of it)
Also, look at people that did get a nomination from this years trixies

I got nominated for a trixie in my CJ.....
Additionally, you need more BATs, and depending on the location of this island

This island is located on Mars(Long story-go to my other one to learn the history of it
I suggest download about .80 GB of plugins

I have to limit my plugins because I only have a 4Gb memory backup card. Plus, 80 GB of plugins would seriously slow down my computer(I found that out the hard way)
You also need to take the time to make your cities, it looks rushed no offense.

Yeah, and in what way??I don't rush my cities.

-I mean you need more BATs because if this was in Mars, then it should be more futuristic at least because I doubt it's possible to change Mars into Earth like terrian in 100s of years, it takes millions for that to happen.  Now if this is a parside island, so add more med. styled buildings at least and don't use Maxis becuase it's going to ruin the look.

-I meant 800 MB or 0.80 GB, I had a decimal point there for a reason.

-If you say it doesn't look rushed, then why is everything is grid like and there is a mid rise without any type of transtion.  Furthermore, slope mods would help your cities ALOT.
