Parcial view of Nehaalen river bank

History:
Nehalen, was founded around 1799, in the area of Havograd River Delta, a region of marshy islands resulting from the flooding of the River
Its also, the most western city of the country.
The city was an former outpost for the Army, who oversaw the activities of English on the opposite bank of the river. In thet time was the last outpost before the Protectorate of Yorkfield, an area of direct influence of England, who had taken control of the former Germanic kingdom, after a trade dispute between the two nations.
The main reason for the founding of Nehalen was the fear of the Crown of Emmerya that Britain could extend its dominance over the region bordering Yorkfield, since at that time that region was isolated and far from the royal domain, and had an abundant population of Swamp Eagle , whose feathers was used in the manufacture of female ornaments, and was extremely valuable. So to minimize foreign influence, the government sent troops to the region in order to establish a strong defensive position. The first troops to land in the region were the soldiers of the 2nd Regiment of Colonial Operations, who was charged with making recording the topographical, geological and economic aspects of região.Lately (1810), the 35th Infantry Battalion was transferred to the  city. In post years, tensions with Britain increased, almost causing 3 wars .The city was not only a military outpost, but also a wealthy trading post for fur and feather merchants, and while the Eagle Marsh, and other exotic species were still abundant, the city prosperou. But around 1849, the native fauna was practically extinct, except for some insects and rodents, throwing the city into a deep crise.Saddly, the only species that survived, also became a plague, devouring crops and contributing to increase the crisis .The town around 1858 was almost empty, save a small military contingent, thanks to the Emmeryan military policy of never abandoning  fortifications of defense. Therefore the tensions between Belka and England became extinct.
The city was forgotten until 1975, when they  discovered huge natural gas reserves in shallow waters of the river delta.Quickly the administration sent troops of the 2nd Armored Division, the 5th Airborne Division and 3rd Imperial Fleet, consisting of 1 battleship, 1 aircraft carrier, 3 cruisers and 16 destroyers to the region, fearing an English invasion. The British reaction was swift, with the deployment of HMS Invincible plus their escorts and 4 Infantry Division. The war was imminent, and the two countries broken diplomatic relations. The final act occurred on the night of October 3, 1981 when  troops captured British agents sabotaging a gas refinery.Emmerya reaction was fast and on the morning of February 4  Emmerya's army began the invasion of Yorkfield The war was quick , mainly because of the arrogance of the English commander, who under-estimated the army of Emmerya, the competence of the Emmeryan officers , and the proximity to the front for Emmerya. In January 1982 the capital of Yorkfield was released. The England fast monted a counter attack, but was surprised by the Argentine invasion of the Falklands, and had to transfer men to fight in the South Atlantic, and in March 1983, Yorkfield was formally declared a protectorate of Emmerya, anticipating a plebiscite in 1985 to define whether the region would become independent or join the People of Emmerya.O Yorkfield decided to join the Principality, mainly because of cultural similarity, and the high standard of living of Emmerya, then forming the region of Yorkfield-Nehalen.
