I dont know if it will restore my city.

But i did save my region folder in, My documents and settings, where it had the japan folder and all the citys, region map and excettera.

As well as plugins, and my document plugins, basically everything from my documents...

So good news, Installed SC4 on different computer, restored my files, and walla, Tokyo appeared back, but, its not my computer... I dont know what could be causing my SC4 to crash at the loading screen...right when the EA circle pops up, it crashes to desktop..and this is on a fresh install.

I am having a similar problem my self. I made a backup of all the SC4 folders, then re-installed on a new cpu, and now the game runs extremely slow in a city. I wonder if I messed something up in the backup process.

Also, could it be a new plugin that you installed? That has happened to me before, when I install a bad plugin, it crashes in the intro.

The only time I have had it crash before the intro, was when I accidentally turned off my soundcard. Bad plugins only make my game crash in-game, i.e. after the intro. I hope this info was of some help, and I hope to see your CJ back soon!
