Hampton Ring Road Extension Project

Currently, Hampton has a ring road running around its western area. It starts at Tottenham Hwy (Route 6) & runs to the Southern Hwy (Route 1). It has intersections with Westgate Rd (Route 18), Highbury Rd (Route 64) & Southern Fwy (M1). It bears the designation M20.

As you can see by the above picture, the Ring Road comes to a dead end at Southern Hwy. The Pawton Bypass is a small stretch of Freeway that intersects with the Newport Hwy (Route 4) at three places (Markstown, Pawton & Springwood). It also bears the M20 designation due to an old highway plan.

For a while, the only way to get from one Freeway to another is by Sampson Rd (Route 71) via St. Margarita & Newport or Southern Hwy & St. Andrews-Springwood Rd via St. Andrews & Crystal Junction. In fact, the only direct route is by rail. After much thought, the Hampton Regional government initiated the M20 Extension Project, also known as the Hampton Ring Road Extension Project or the Pawton-Hampton Link.

Work begins on the St. Andrews end.

The road is really coming along now.

The road comes to the railway line.

The railway line needed to be re-graded. The Maple Point & Komurat lines were out of service for several days. Buses replaced the trains from St. Margarita to Pawton.

The new overpass! The line is dual-track underneath to allow trains to pass. The line has become busier lately, & the entire line may be upgraded soon.

The Southern Hwy was rebuilt to go over the Freeway. The interchange here has not been constructed yet.

This is the Southern Hwy interchange. It was built as a parclo so as not to disturb the Ashuyo Railway (which runs to Cobalt!)

And this is the Newport Hwy interchange.

The Freeway is now open!  The Hampton & Cape Carter Governments may consider linking the M20 with Komurat Island.

Enjoy!

Just an ossevation, isn't the city downtown too big and complex compared to the suburbs? Where do the working people in the downtown come from? Hope you'll add some more tiny houses and suburbs, so this would look nearly perfect!

There are more people in the nneighbouring places, Levington-Highbury, Hawthorn & Tottenham have around 20,000 people each, while Allydria has 10,000 people. But thanks for your question, & this will be updated.
