A look at Hampton City
Hampton City is the oldest & largest city in Manningham. It was founded in March 1871 after a shipload of settlers arrived at Cobalt Landing. The city was founded by John Cobalt. Cobalt was the first to explore the Dark Lake area (West Coast Manningham had been discovered in the 17th Century). 6 months earlier, he had set foot on the Western Shore at what is now known as October Landing. The city has since expanded, with a distinct downtown & suburbs mainly to the north. (The region to the West is known as Levington-Highbury, but more on that later).
The suburbs of Cobalt Landing, Cantertown (which includes Cantertown, Cantertown East & Cantertown Junction) & McKinnon were declared seperate from Downtown Hampton City in 1875.
In 1881, The District of Hampton was formed, withe the north border running along the current StadiumLink, the east border running along Burnside Creek, the South Border running along the Newport rail line, the edge of the Crystal Forest & along the Hampton Ring Road, & the Western border along Highbury Creek (the city has now expanded out of this district).

This is an overview of the City. Eastside Harobour is on the right of the picture.

This is the northern part of downtown. Farragh St runs east-west along the picture. The Avenue is the main route into town, where it is a notorious bottleneck at Farragh St. where it runs into Middle St. On the corner you can see the Northend Spire. Also to bee seen is the No. 30 Tram doing it's service.

This is McKinnon Station. Built in 1899, this station was the Terminus for the very first rail line from St. Margarita. The line now runs to Hawthorn (built 1926) & a branch line to Burnside was built in 1941. The tram stop serves both Route 79 (Elderwyck - Hayendon) & Route 80 (Burnside - Hayendon). It was built much later, in 1939 (the original Route 79 only ran to Cantertown Junction, while Route 80 was only designated many years later). The station is manned, & sees many passengers.

Meanwhile, this is the No 1 Tram. The first route, it runs from St. Margarita to Renfall. There are numerous plans to extend it to Fairvale via Madden, making use of the closed Fairvale railway line. It runs past Nunchuk Ground, & serves many passengers on gamedays. The tram is a GreenStar Model 7.

Nunchuk Ground is the home of the McKinnon Bears. Manningham's first baseball team, they were founded in 1896. They have competed in every MBC season since the inaugral 1959 season. The statium is served by Nunchuk Ground Station, & Tram Routes 1 & 17 (StadiumLink).

This meanwhile, is ProLogic Stadium. Built in 1931 as the Cantertown Municipal Ground, it was upgraded in 1947 when the Hampton Baycats moved in. The stadium was renamed Baycat Dome in 1947, then ProLogic Stadium in 1969. In 1971, The Hampton Baycats moved to Cobalt & the stadium has been vacant ever since. However in 1991, a deal saw the McKinnon Bears play some of their home games there due to the higher capacity, but Nunchuk Ground remains their home. It's served by ProLogic Stadium Station & Tram Route 17 (StadiumLink).

This is StadiumLink. It refers to both the tramline & the split road. It was built in 1959 for the inaugral MBC season to quickly transport fans from each stadium (a Hampton Game was often played after a McKinnon game or vice versa). There are several stops along the way, but these are not used when the tram runs express.
More pictures will follow, but enjoy!
