Department of the Combined Armed Forces
That's a fancy way to say the Department of Defense. Of course, in most countries, the term "Department of Defense" replaced Department of War to better communicate the agencies' supposed purposed. In Bordav, This is what they call it.

The massive facility, built in 1968, replaced the older (and much smaller) building shown below. Today, the "Old Department Building," as it is called, is the Veterans Affair Council headquarters.

Bakkim Prison is not a place you want to go. It's not exactly a secret jail--it's located in the Island's biggest city on the river banks--but a certain mystic has been kept up over the years. Generally, its understood to be a holding-place for political prisoners and high-importance prisoners of war.
