Old Town
Had an errand a few weeks ago on the other side of town.
It's a small town, took about 90 minutes round-trip on a motorbike.
On the trip, I saw a new construction project courtesy of the new mayor.
They're replacing the statue on the main roundabout... again.
And it got me thinking, just how much this small town has changed over the years.
Old buildings torn apart and replaced by a new one, more often than not, it's for business.
Lots of shops I used to visit back in the day have been replaced with others, or are completely gone.
Some public places have been turned into buildings, and some others are now just empty lots, slowly deteriorating and taken over by weeds.
It feels like the town is slowly erasing what I remember and relate to. It's kinda sad.
