Westfield

Introduction

OOC: So, welcome to the city of Westfield. A city where I am literally building whatever I want with no actual goal in mind. Well I might have a sort of goal in mind, in fact lots but we'll start with a completely whatever goal to this city and maybe create other cities for the other ideas. In fact yep, that's what we'll do. So let me introduce you to Westfield, the new capital of the as yet completely unexsisting Wertlamds!

(Honestly I start all these projects with no back story and no actual intention of creating a story for them and then this happens.... every single time......)

As for mods I have unlock all tiles and quay anarchy. I'm not all that interested in the whole massively detailed approach (or hell even really looking at the streets and individual blocks themselves). As such I haven't really got any intention of installing any others mods along the way.

Entry 1: Oh dead god where are we!?

WELCOME TO WESTFIELD!

Built by an overly eccentric mayor with interestingly questionable education, Westfield is pretty much the other thing to exist in the whole region of Westlands. This, as you can imagine means that the people who somehow end up here, don't really go anywhere else. As such, Mayor and self declared ruler Lord Westfellow, has seen his small community grow into this much larger mes.... I mean city.

So, below are some images of the growing city (starting at 25k population because before that, no one bothered to actually take any photos).

As you can see, the mayor has so far decreed that everyone lives in high rises and that unsociable single family homes are outlawed.

Further to promote the community the place has several parks. True only one of them is actually furnished yet, but its the main one so that's what counts!

Healthcare and general wellbeing however isn't exactly pushed on the citizenship, with most of them unable to access the overcrowded schools but, this has meant that people are far more happy to live next to the copious amount of profitable industry the city boosts!

However the growth of the city hasn't been without copious amounts of pro.... I mean without its little issues like the big sewage flood, where the rather shoddily built retaining wall for the cities sewage solution (literally pump it along the lovely river that runs through town) didn't contain the flow of sewage and the industrial area flooded.

The road network has also had its problems at times. At one point we had massive industrial tailbasks on the central roundabout so the mayor designed and built this interchange himself! (which probably explains quite a bit)

However, the mayor (or at least his advisors) are learning from the issues and, as you can see from the latest overview of the city, we have some new solutions for the sewage issue!
