A dramatic scene is unfolding at Baron cross station, the main station for Roehampton city. The 5:15pm train to the northern suburbs was departing the station when the train derailed and the second carriage exploded. Debris can be seen all over the tracks. 

Every emergency service is en route to the scene. The royal Hospital is on red alert for major injuries and Fairbanks avenue and Fleet road have been closed to allow rescue vehicle easy access to the hospital. All trains in an out of the city have been halted. No metro trains are stopping at the station for the time being also.
