Greenwich Republic Founder's Day-Part 3-Delta
DeltaIts finally here! The moment you've all been waiting for, the day Greenwich turns 200! Rather than put it all into one update, I will have a series of mini-updates throughout the next 2 days showcasing my favorite parts of the republic. I hope you all enjoy part three!
Delta is the second largest city in the Greenwich Republic. It has been more recently associated with the River Oaks Scandal. Historically, Delta has been a fast growing city, and with a metropolitan population of 98,000, it is the fastest growing city in the country. Named for the inland delta on which it lies, the water has always been a major part of this city's culture, from its sport fishing to its speed boat races.
This is the Delta Street Bridge, the only bridge in downtown. It was completed in 2002 and has had over 2,000,000 cars pass over it. Delta Street is a major road in south downtown, and once it exits the metro area it becomes National Highway 34. Back before transnational roads, these National Highways were the only way to get around.
This is the industrial district and the Airport Expressway. Power in Delta is provided by Delta Energy, unlike most of the country which is powered by Greenwich Energy. The tall building next to the tennis stadium is the headquarters for Delta Energy, which overlooks thier power plants.

This is the Delta International Center, which at 108 stories is the tallest building in Delta. It also has a Marriot. The baseball stadium is home to the Delta Razor Sharks, a pro baseball team, and the soccer stadium is home to the Delta Rainmakers the minor league soccer team.
This is International park, built for the Republic Exhibition in 1998. The city's major league soccer team, the Delta Swordfish, call this arena home. This area also has many upscale condos and apartments, mainly rented by young professionals. You can also find the National Zoo here.
