In Triplicate...

East Tenne: In Triplicate…
Government offices are located throughout the capital. Many of the most significant ones are located in the Royal Quarter and the Feline Quarter. But, all of those government offices and institutions which don’t require the Supreme Wirdle’s daily oversight need somewhere to be as well. Many of them and concentrated in the fourth and fifth arrondissements. District IV is known as The Citadel, as it contains a large building which sits upon a hill just like a citadel in the times of yore. A large cluster of government facilities centers around Clark Square. This cluster is devoted to education and culture. There are other clusters scattered through the Government Districts. Executive and legislative offices are in the Royal Quarter, proximate to Wirtyplace.
Today, we traverse the district looking for signatures on a form (to be filled out in triplicate, of course) permitting Dr. Joshua Vaughan Bell, M.D., Esq., to establish a new medical college in New Arlenes. Dr. Bell, Schulmania’s most famous physician, is best known for performing the first paw pad transplant in history. He has recruited several renowned medical professionals and instructors, including Dr. Aidan Jacobs, inventor of the whisker graft, and Dr. Drew Drews, pioneer in hairball prevention research. These three have developed a proposal and have found a great site in New Arlenes, which currently has no medical training facility anywhere near it, ready for development.

The trio of doctors met up at the corner office of their lawyers, Rob & Steele LLC, to get the papers

Then they headed over to Janice’s House o’ Paper to get a fancy file folder to put the proposal in… and maybe some cool stickers to jazz it up

The group got delayed when some pigeons landed on the sidewalk and everyone had to stop what they were doing and pounce on them…

Back on track… and headed to the Fine Arts Council building. There, the Deputy Assistant Undersecretary for Waiting Room Décor will have to sign off on the design plans.

The official was taking a nap after having spend hours looking out of the window (I know, it is exhausting, isn’t it?) So the doctors headed over to the mall to get some catnip to motivate him to get with the program and sign off on the décor.

Back to the Fine Arts Council building. After having the first signature, the group went upstairs to the office of Justin Morley, the Junior Adjutant for Background Music Reviews to get authorization a jaunty Meow Mix theme song remix to be used as the background music for the school’s classrooms. Luckily, this signature was easy to get.

Over to the Education & Literature Commission Office, where the legal paperwork for the college will be filed. Interim Undersecretary of College Registrations Cindy Jackson was unavailable (she was in a meeting to watch squirrels out of the window and thus too busy…) so there was a delay.

The trek to get to every government building and get signatures was well underway. Nine signatures were needed altogether. The most elusive signatures were those of Dr. Nicholas Sullivan, Director of Veterinary Services, and Zachary Mason, Chairman of the Collegiate Review Board. Mr. Mason was chasing butterflies on the roof and it took forever to find him…

Finally, the doctors were able to bring their paperwork over to the National Archive to file. Once recorded, the papers will be reviewed by the Education Commissioner.

The group headed over to The Triangle to await word from the Commissioner. It’s not a bad place to pass the time…

They decided to head into Grove Center to do some shopping. Might as well get college shirts and hats and stuff made up. After all, if you don’t have stuff in the school store your school just isn’t that cool!
