On The Move

On The Move
The Harar court is itinerant and will follow the queen wherever she goes. Over the course of the year she may be found ruling from Lake Felis, The Wirdleplex, the Feline Quarter of Oak Ridge or her new summer residence, Clawmoral Castle. As summer winds down and Harar cools off (it is quite hot and humid there in the summer) the Queen and her court are on the move again. This time, they are headed from the mountains near Port Isabella back to the Harar capital of Lake Felis.

Cats are not super fond of cold weather. So, as fall descends upon the mountaintop Clawmoral Castle, the court prepares to head downhill to Port Isabella and then overland through the central plains to the winter capital at Lake Felis.
Let’s bid farewell to Port Isabella. The town will undoubtedly have royal guests again once it warms up again.

As you can imagine, progress is slow…
In transit through the piedmont of the Schulmappalachian Mountains and the rolling plains of central Harar:

And of course, the hunting is always good in Harar... plenty of big game just waiting for a good pouncing…

The court eventually makes it way to the permanent capital of Lake Felis. The winter population of the city grows substantially as the non-domiciled cats in the hinterland will often come to town to escape the cold. Plus the tuna parties and salmon fiestas are a big draw!

There’s a welcome back tuna party on the lakefront terraces to celebrate the return of the queen. Come on over – everyone’s invited!
