Welcome to Greater Bourbondy Area. Bourbondy is a fictional city/region and was inspired by the city of New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta. Bourbondy was named after Bourbon Street. This is my first city journal ever. After playing Simcity 4 for a couple of years I decide to start new and finally post a city journal. I've decided to go through time stages of the region from past to future. Stay tuned.

Brief History

The first settlement of the area was a Spanish fort build in the early 18th century. The fort was built due to tension over territory and rebellious natives. Later the fort was abandoned. French settlers moved to the site and fur traders traded up and down the Bochit River, which became a major trading route. They made peace with the Natives and traded with them. The city of Bourbondy, which we will later see in the journal, was founded in 1720. The fort was once again used again to store and secure supplies, and later razed since it was excluded from the plans of the city. The Natives assimalated into the region and the rest of the nation and English speaking settlers gained control of the city.
