San Lorenzo is a city located in the state of New Loreto, on the island of Stratford. It is the largest city in the state and main industrial center as well. It is the busiest city and most prosperous city, along with being known for it's multi-cultural style.

Points of Interest:

Globe Square, a plaza in the middle of downtown with a monument to world peace
The Walsworth Tower, the city's tallest historic skyscraper and the city's main symbol
Little Italy, a district of older buildings that is filled with Italian restaurants and shops
Mr. Shrimp's Pier, with plenty of amusements, a ferris wheel, and Lighthouse Museum
St. Lawrence Cathedral, a neo-Gothic style church in downtown
Museum Park, with the Natural History Museum
Dundee Beach, located north from the city, is widely popular with surfers despite the frigid waters

Stereotypically speaking, the average San Lorenzino is busy, easily irritable, and weary of people from California. The city is affectionately (or pejoratively) refered to as "the bastard child of Chicago and San Francisco". As a city, they are considered fussy and stubborn. The people tend to not to be pompous, but rather self confident in a more subtle way. They tend to like Alternative or Classic rock music and also sitcoms. They have a sense of culture and enjoy art, even though they don't like to admit it in fear of appearing too "artsy". Unlike their golf-playing ritzy Shaston counterparts, Lorenzinos are generally down to earth and frugal with their money.

The city, culturally speaking, is a melting pot of different cultures... with Chinatown and Little Mesias being the largest ethnic neighborhoods. The downtown area was home to many Irish and Italian americans and the Gardenvale district has a large population of African-american and Latino people. Overall, the city doesn't have any prejudice against outside cultures, except California of course. For some reason San Lorenzinos have a strange paranoid obsession with California, constantly thinking that the state is out to get them. This is likely due to past conflicts between the states, and also because of the recent influx of Californians moving to San Lorenzo for the cheaper real-estate.

As for religion, the majority of people in San Lorenzo are Christian (of various denominations), with many Jews and Buddhists as well. For Christians, Protestant denominations make up the majority, with Catholics coming in second and growing faster with the increase of Hispanics in the area. Greek Orthodox churches are common in the St. Raphael area, where there is also a substantial population of people from the Balkans such as Serbians, Croatians, etc. Judaism is also a prominent religion in the city, with many synagogues throughout the city.

Buddhism can also be found mostly near the Chinatown area, although the majority of Buddhists are actually of South-East Asian heritage. There are also a lot of Muslims in the city, most of whom are of Lebanese and Palestinian heritage.
