Owaen, there is no need to convert RHW into OWWs. RHW can convert into AVEs perfectly.(sorry for the short forms)

Wow,

More or less by accident I stumbled upon this thread. I hardly ever visit the formus on this site.

But because seaports have my attention I checked all 14 pages and my fingers begin to itch. her are so many fantastic ideas in this thread. I even cant begin to tell where, but you can find out for yourself, of course.

I need time! To work on my ports!

Anyway, it was Emilin who caught my interest with his tutorial about ports in the first place, so everything you see here is more or less his fault. 9.gif

I'll show you what I have.

There are two regions that are specially set up as Port autority locations.

Guess, as I am Dutch, my first one is called Rotterdam.

This is a very early overview. A lot has changed since then, but I have no pictures now. Next week maybe?

Rotterdam5klein.jpg

My containerport is finished already.

Thanks to Soulstealer and Somy.

And a part where I tried to find a more mixed, more 19th century like, atmosphere: several kinds of industry together.

Thanks to PEG, Jeronij, BSC team, NOB, etc...

S_HoekvanHolland-26Mei161214558073.jpg

Then I started another region, because the whole was a bit too artificial to my taste.

It is called Rommeldam. The Dutch readers of Tom Poes know the name.

Anyway, the name does not matter. It consists of a natural river flowing from east to west. On the southern banks is a rural area with polders and dikes. So there I can play my rural ideas, but that's a different story.

To the north is the large city of Rommeldam with its port. It historically grew from east to west.

As you can see there is still a lot to develop and I do not work in a historically correct way. But who cares about that?

S_Rommeldam09.jpg

Some developed parts.

The containerport. The part where the containers are shipped from sea to inland water transport.

If someone could give me a hint to a container carrying inland ship???

And the bulk port.

Where the seashore meets the large northern pier. A coast guard station with a small touristic village for beach guests. In the back you can see the first pieces of the oil port.

That's it for now.

Webelch,

You might be a stranger, for having posted only 5 times, but you beat me way out in your ports!

They look great and very carefully thought through.

I always fight with repetition, because I fear it leads to boredom. But somehow I see a lot of reptitious lots in your port, but there is nothing that reminds of boredom. You do a great job. I am really a bit jealous and feel for taking three days off from my job just to make a better port myself. Pityfully this is not so simple.....

So I take another look at your work.

Show us more! I am sure there are more people interested in your work.

I don't have a big contribution to show here, but it is something 9.gif

Wish I had more stuff to make harbours tough D:

This is a full view of my harbour, as you can see I'm still developing around it.

ajqx3d.png

It's spilt into three Parts;

Containers. suited on the central island, It's not as big as most harbours but it's more then enough for this area:

Bulk Goods, Craters and the like. This makes up the larger part of the harbour, and a lot of goods come trough this place:

Refuelling and Small Refinery, Here ships can refuel and a small refinery processes the Oil delivered from the west either trough ship our pipeline, after which it's stored for refuelling of ships
