can somebody make the Reunion Island map? this is where I live and I'm not experienced enough to do it.

i have found the island to be 67 x 61 km if i did a region of this at simcity scale it would probably take a very long time for your machine to render. I have found low resolution (90 m) elevation data and high resolution drainage and coast. i could probably get it close but nowwhere near as good as i would want it. Is it ok if i make it half scale in the horizontal dimensions? this would bring the equivalent size down to 33.5 x 30.5 km in SC4.

If you can get Reunion Island accurate, it will be a fantastic map. The Island is volcanic with huge lava flows all around the active volcano, and an intricate caldera, and lava gulleys around the dormant one - its a geologists dream island ! I will scan a few of my wifes pics of the island, and post them here.

Thanks Mallow i had spent a day looking for elevation for  this area found half the island in high resolution but you really need a the whole island.

 found a coarse one at NASA  included madagascar  + tip of africa total area was about 2 million square km i think. might doo that entire island if justin doesn't get to it first

lol No way Moganite - its your map buddy !!! But I thought it might be nice to post some actual photographs of the Island - showing the volcano active - Its one helluva island !!!

had a look at the NASA data and found really huge areas didn't get sampled; one was spread over an area of about 100 sqkm given the steepness of terrain i mght just have to superimpose some of the the coarse data to get an accurate area at all

i need a scale map of the great lakes and surronding area the has to be commpletly flat and the coast must be smooth can sombody please make it i will be forever greatful . thanks
