This might sound off topic, Spam whatever you want to call it, but my friend Zane900 has a Simcity 4 fansite, which is great, but there aren't any new members.
So do me a favor, could visit his website and if you like it why not joining, here is link http://freewebs.com/zane900/
i hope you enjoy his site as I do.
Do it for him not for me. Im just a moderator and article writter.

    edit:
    Quick update:
I haven't played with this BAt too much, but this what I have for now.

Oki I searched and there are not good pics of banamex, anyway looks good.

I found this one, more mexican style, I'm thinking you could use the idea for the textures on the one you already modeled.

Nice to see someone is doing these BATs!, so far it looks good, but here are my thoughts about the Banamex building:

-Try to make the stripe not to go all the way aroud the building but only in the front.

-The texture of the stripe is too red, try making it lood a little more purple (I recommend looking for the tutorial for calibrating photoshop to ge the right color).

-(not sure) but check how would it look with wider columns.

-Use a larger roof texture, preferably tileable, the one you're using now is too blured when rendered. I'm thinking some concrete tiles perhaps.

-I don't know what it is, maybe my imagination, but I see something wrong with the roof junk. Maybe the air conducts are too low, try rising them a little and applying a metallic texture, or maybe making all the air conducts the same wide.

Apart from the said, I think it looks fine. The small shop looks very promising too. Keep up working.

Marcos, didnt you say that the Binghamton State Office Building doesnt work? You said when you plop it it crashes back to the desktop. All I was saying is that you put all that work into the building and it doesnt work.

Looks good. My suggestion for the roof texture on that one would be to photoshop on a layer of a grainy gravel-ish texture in order to increase the resolution because as it is now, it clearly looks stretched.

this is an old version of banamex, I believe the colours have change to blue, white and red, check the new logos, or maybe you are making a retro version. anyway, the roof looks bad, why don't you put the same or similar texture you used in your other BATs, this one looks really bad.

But hey, who am I to talk about textures?

Thanks for your comments Sloppet and Cjah

Debussyman: One thing I don't have photoshop. About the textures I will change the roof texture to something more realistic. How about if I put a "tinaco" or Rotoplas. I will make the air conducts more bigger they look small.

Metropolis: I currently having problems with the model, so I will start over as soon as I upgrade my graphics card.

6459978: thansk, I don't have any copy of Photoshop. But is it possible to use Gimp to do what you are telling me?

tcxalapa: The problem is that there aren't any good pictures on the net.

    Edit:

I have done what you told so here is the result.

wow, the banamex shop looks fantastic! great roof and wall textures. my only concern are the roofjunc textures. you could make them nicer by adding a more metal like texture(or something with a bit more color variaty if you know what I mean).

check out this site: http://www.grsites.com/textures/ at the metal section (somewhere near the bottom of the page) there're some very good metaltextures.

about the 2x2 shop. I love the shape, it looks very interresting. esspecially the windows above the entrence are very cool. I hardly can't wait to see it textured 4.gif

    keep up this great work!!

Looks good. We need more small commercial shops and offices. The only thing that I would say is that you might want to rethink the ducting on the roof of the Banamex. It seems a tad excessive, but that could just be me.

Yes, it should be possible to use Gimp for that -- just add an additional layer on top of what you have with some sort of gravel texture. Try that and see how it looks.
