so is it possible to change my login name? I'd like to, but I assume it is what the information regarding posts, etc. is stored to and cannot be changed without admin intervention... If so, it'd be great, thanks, rs....(uhhhh....d1314)

Well, the admins are kind of busy right now with getting the rest of the site online again.  Also, on the old system, getting everything coordinated with the chat and the forums could be a real pain.

Well, I think it is possible, but I'd wait a few weeks to allow the moderators and admins to do other stuff right now.

Generally speaking, the admins don't like to change someone's screenname; it creates confusion on the forums among other things.

I don't blame the admins for not likeing to change someones screenname, i bet there working extremely hard getting this site back restored to its former glory.
